"How's my favourite person in the world?" that oh-so-familiar voice, that made your heart skip a beat and cheeks warm with a rosy hue, greeted you, as a leather clad arm draped itself across your shoulders and you were pulled into Eddie's side.

It was certainly a relief to see him. Your eyes scanned his form for any tell tale signs of bruises or injuries but you could find none. The brunet seemed to be unscathed, following his latest dealings with his mysterious but most definitely shadey employers. You spied upon the treacherous pager, that was hooked to his belt. It was silent now but you knew they would come calling for his presence at any moment and he would have to drop everything to go meet them, whoever they were. As much as you wanted him to confide in you, you were worried about how dangerous the truth would be and despite his reassurances, you feared that Eddie was in over his head.

"Yeah, I'm great. Thanks for asking." Dustin grinned toothily at the Dungeon Master, completely missing who the original greeting had truly been directed towards.

Unexpected to Eddie, you burst out into a laugh, only causing his grin to further widen with a mixture of proudest and wonderment.

"Now that is a sound I could get used to hearing." he beamed at you, a soft expression overtaking his features. If only the town of Hawkins could see him now, smitten and sweet-tempered- they would never have branded him a freak or an outcast. "You doing okay?"

"I'm alright, yeah. Are you okay?" you wanted to ask him about the drop but that would have to wait until you had some privacy but that was going to prove difficult because...

"Yo, Eddie. You need to help me pick a film for the movie might." Dustin called out, waving a VHS case in your general direction. Judging by the cover, you deduced that Steve would definitely not approve of it.

Eyeing you quizzically, Eddie replied, "Movie night?"

"Yeah, Dustin found out we watched The Funhouse yesterday and-" you did your best to explain before the brunet quickly cut you off.

"-Now we're having a movie night."

"Ding ding ding, we have a winner." you joked, grinning as Eddie frowned, evidently hoping for a quiet night in- just you and him.

"Right, okay and why do I have to help pick the film?"

"Because Y/N has terrible taste and Steve keeps insisting on kids films." the young boy rolled his eyes, exasperated.

"Annie is a very age appropriate film for you to be watching." ever the Mother, Steve sternly scolded the young boy, even going so far as to place his hands on his hips.

Horrified at the prospect of being tortured with contiuous singing, Eddie vigorously shook his head. "Oh, I am definitely not watching a musical."

"Seconded." Dustin agreed.

"Thirded." you chimed in.

"Fourthed." the discombobulated voice of Robin sounded, before she emerged from the store room, arms laden down with new releases, that needed putting out on display.

Eddie visibly sighed with relief at the sight of someone with equally good cinematic taste. "Ah, Robin's here, why don't you ask-"

"Steve's banned me from choosing, since I've apparently been seeing illegal material to children." she slyly grinned, the smile only growing when Steve shot her a disapproving stare.
