A/N: Well, I did it! I finally got this chapter written. I didn't think it would ever been done. My mind just could not conjure up the vocabulary I needed. But 3K words later, here we are. Hopefully with this interim chapter out of the way, the rest of the instalments will be easier to write.
As always, thank you so much for the 18K views! It truly is motivating to seem the votes and comments, so please continue to interact with my work. It helps me to know if I'm doing a good job or what needs improving!

"Eddie, Eds. Hey...Eddie?" you gently coaxed him awake, smiling as those sleepy eyes regarded you with lazy satisfaction. "Hey, baby. You gotta get up now, it's lunchtime."
The mountain of sandwiches were well recieved by all, everyone grateful to be eating something of substance, after their fun at the lake so face. It was only Steve, who was sat a fair few metres away from you, alone and just out of talking range, who picked unenthusiastically at his food. You had wanted to go over to him and say something, to see if he was alright but you were distracted by the brunet beside you. "Man, I needed that nap. Thanks for letting me sleep on you for so long." he sweetly kissed your cheeked, causing you to blush wildly, unused to the PDA.
"You were mumbling in your sleep." you stated, before taking another bite of your sandwich. It had been a subtle murmuring at most, nothing to alarm those around but you, who had covertly shushed him, while running your hands through his dark locks, like a parent would their child. Though you shared a bed, you could not ever recall Eddie previously talking in his sleep.
"Huh...did I say anything interesting?" he questioned, reaching out to steal one of your sandwiches. Noticing the movement, you gently batted his hand away, grinning as he pretended to be gravely wounded.
Feeling a little mischievous, you responded, "You confessed your undying love for Steve."
He laugh echoed loudly in the quiet setting, momentarily silencing all of the other conversations happening simultaneously. "Pfft, yeah. I've got a raging hard on for the guy."
"It's the hair, isn't it?" you joked, while ripping your sandwich in half and handing it to Eddie.
"On his head or on his chest? Because that guy is, like, ninety percent hair at this point." he gratefully accepted your offering and bite into it, chewing thoughtfully, as he asked more soberly, "So, what did I actually say?"
You shrugged, most of it had been pretty incoherant. A gasp here, a whimper there. You assumed he had been having a nightmare. "My name mainly."
"Oh, really?" Eddie wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. He glanced at Max and when he was convinced that she would not hear anything through her headphones, he leaned forward to whisper in your ear. "Want me to say your name again later?"
"Eddie!" you squealed, swatting him on the chest. "It wasn't like that!" you hissed.
"What was it like then?"
"I don't know..." you glanced down at the plastic bag, that contained the remnants of your lunch. "you sounded, um, worried."
"Worried?" he frowned.
"Yeah, like you were having a bad dream." you whispered.
He would have to take your word for it because for the life of him, Eddie could not recall a single snippet of his dream, or potential nightmare it would seem. Upon seeing you so concerned, he nudged you with his elbow, not wanting you to be unnecessarily worried for his wellbeing. It was probably nothing, just lack of sleep, he mused. "It wasn't a bad dreams, sweet thing."
"You promise?"
Saluting you like a captain, the brunet nodded. "Scout's honour."
With a scoff, you picked up your drink and took a swig. "Heh, like you were a scout."
