A/N: Apologies for the delayed update. I had writer's block with the original instalment, so chose to set it aside as a draft and write a completely new chapter.

Today's content warning is a mention of smut and losing of virginity. This book is in the 18-25 category on Wattpad, so if you're not 18+, maybe give this a skip? Just listen to this warning and make good life choices.

Exhaustion settled deep within Eddie's bones, as he stored away the hand-crafted world map, he had specially made for his latest D&D campaign. It had been yet another successful session and he was definitely looking forward to the following week's meet but in that moment, all he wanted was to pass out in his bed. Preferably with you snuggled up beside him. Though, considering how the last few nights had gone, you both would most likely end up entwined on the sofa. Either way it was a win-win situation, resulting in his lack of consciousness and your reassuring prescene curled up against his side.

Through the club room windows, he momentarily paused his tidying to observe the vivid orange and pinks of the dying light, as the sun set on another day. As he stared on at the vibrant hues, Eddie reminisced about one particular date he had taken you on, almost over a year ago, to Lover's Lake. The sky had been similarly a blaze with such beautiful colours- though he had been too distracted by your mere presence, to really pay his surroundings any mind.

Throughout most of your short-lived relationship, dates had mainly consisted of getting high in his trailer or him sneaking through your bedroom window, to participate in heavy make out sessions, while your parents slept down the hall, none the wiser of what you were getting up to in the dead if night. There had been D&D sessions but the brunet rarely counted those as dates, on the account of the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth wheels, that consisted of the other Hellfire members, being present at the same time.

What made the trip to Lover's Lake so special was not just that it was one of the only romantic dates you had had together but also, it was the first time you had both been intimate with one another. Not just cautious touches or grinding over your clothing but the definite removal of your mutual virginity. While Eddie considered the entire concept of chastity to archaic- and an idealism that, someone as pious as Jason, would subscribe to- Eddie had wanted the occasion to be special for you.

His mind drifted to more salacious thoughts of your stuttered breathing and blissed out expression, as he had carefully rocked into you. Your moans were a sound, sweeter than anything he had ever heard, better than any cassette he owned. The way you had breathlessly said his name, as your nails raked his skin, leaving crimson lines of passion down the expanse of his back- he swore he could feel them...there and then, as he stood is the empty room. You had been so embarrassed when you had seen your handiwork but he had not minded. In fact, quite the opposite. He would gladly have let you mark him again and again and again.

Prior to that milestone you both had shared together, Eddie had known that he loved you but had never dared to say, not wanting to scare you away. Like you, he had insecurities, voices in his head that told him he wasn't good enough for you, that he was too much of a freak to be loved. While your demons caused you to isolate yourself, he monster that resided within Eddie, pushed him to smoke more, to be antagonistic to those who tried to put him in his place, label him as dangerous and force him to be an outcast. He used to worry that his reputation would drive you away but try as he might to be good, some habits dies hard. Initially, you had only seemed to care about him more, when trouble came knocking on his door but when you had started to drift away, Eddie had not fought to keep you by his side. Instead, he had freely let you go, assuming that it was his fault for the sour turn of your relationship.

Oh how wrong he had been. The brunet cursed his narcissistic anxiety for not noticing that your tumultuous home life had been an undeniable strain that you had not been able to cope with, whilst trying to maintain the happiness of those around you.

He thought back to the lake and how he had by dying to tell you those three important words and yet, he had waited and as a result, the first time they had been uttered was outside the video, during the height of his distress and then again, as he knelt before on the bathroom floor, during the aftermath of your panic attack. Not the most ideal of situations to tell someone the true depth of one's adoration for their existence. Then that morning, he had felt the urge to include them in his note but he still agreed with his earlier sentient that, they needed to be said a romantic setting, at a moment where you would appreciate them more.

During his drive to school, weather report on the radio had said that the weekend was due to to be dry, with low temperatures but with clear skies. Perhaps a trip to Lover's Lake was in order after your Saturday morning detention...

"Eddie." the sounding of his name, caught the brunet by surprise and succeed in drawing his focus back to reality. The rest of the Hellfire Club had surely left for the night, allowing him to be the only member still present within the vacant school. The voice was not unfamiliar to him. So, when Eddie had spun on his heels and found Chrissy Cunningham, stood in the open doorway, dressed in clothes other than her cheerleader outfit, well...

...he was speechless to say the least.
