Ever since she was born, Isabella Marie Swan Higginbotham has been a witness of the radiant aura that Eliza Swan —her adopted older sister— exude. As far as she could remember, she always felt like she was the shadow complimenting the ray of light that Eliza was. As far as she could remember, Isabella Marie Swan Higginbotham hated Eliza Swan for overshadowing her existence even though she was just an adopted child who shared no blood ties with her father nor mother.Isabella Swan hated to see how her own father preferred Eliza before her. She hated to see how he wandered into joyful conversations with Eliza but when she tried they were only awkward. She hated to see that after he lost her custody to her mother he kept trying to get Eliza's to the hilt alleging that it was him who suggested Eliza's adoption. Therefore, it was just normal for Eliza to stay with him.
She felt overjoyed when she saw her mother winning both custodies, because her mother also hated Eliza. Not as much as she did but she hated her as well. She jumped in happiness in the privacy of her room after seeing her mother dragging Eliza to the car and then starting to drive in the direction of an orphanage. She smiled with joy for seeing that her plan to get rid of Eliza and to stop being her shadow worked.
Now she could be in the spotlight.
At the age of eleven she met an angel. The angel had ash-blonde color hair with waves that reached halfway down her back and blue eyes that resembled a storm. Dark but still shining in an appealing way as she spoke.
Isabella Marie Swan Higginbotham thought that fortune was smiling to her and thanked the gods for sending an angel to her after getting rid of Eliza.
Yet, her happiness did not last.
The shy smile on her face faded away being replaced with a grimace when she heard her former adoptive sister's name going out of the angel's lips. Her sweet and soft voice was asking for her former sister with genuine concern.
How could Eliza —a girl with no parents nor worth— be able to get the attention of such an angel, but she —having it all— still got none?
Isabella Marie Swan Higginbotham secretly listened to the conversation between her mother and the angel of the name Cosette Schneider. She listened with jealousy how the angel's voice went from soft to harsh. She watched with jealousy and anger how Cosette gave her a disdainful look —with no warmth at all— when she tried to get her attention one more time before she went away.
Ever since that day, Isabella Marie Swan Higginbotham realized that she did not just hate Eliza, she loathed her. She loathes how her shiny aura gained everyone's attention. She loathed being overshadowed by her. She loathed how Eliza kept smiling even though they made her go through hell. She loathed how Eliza had been capable of meeting an angel and getting her attention. She loathed how everything seemed to be easy for her.
Without doubt, Isabella Marie Swan Higginbotham loathed Eliza Swan and she would do so until the moment she died.
