As time progressed, couples married and had children, whether they were biological or adopted. Rei and Griffin -being both men- decided to adopt a child when they felt it was appropriate, while Jacob and Narumi, because yes -although it came as a surprise to Rêverie- Jacob fell in love with Narumi, and both had had several children, some with the metamorphic gene and some with the gift of magic.

Reverie was able to witness both weddings and the children's growth as she spent time with Carlisle and they traveled across the world. At each new destination, she made sure to create unforgettable moments for her partner, as well as showering him with gifts and tokens of affection, somewhat rare, to show her love for him.

Before they knew it, centuries had passed and they ended up being the only couple in the clan who had not married even once, but they were fine as they were already. It didn't bother them, for that fact did not restrict any of their activities, and Rêverie thought there was no hurry. Time was not running out for them, after all.

"Where are you taking me?" she asked, laughing as she was dragged to an unfamiliar place with a blindfold obstructing her vision.

"If I tell you, it's no longer a surprise," Carlisle replied as he made sure his partner didn't trip over anything. "We'll be there soon, don't worry."

"That's what you said half an hour ago," she snorted in annoyance, though she was still smiling as she let herself go by Carlisle.

"Well, I'm still having trouble finding the place. It's pretty well hidden, you know."

"Don't tell me th-"

"Here we are."

The blindfold fell and Rêverie caught a glimpse of the secret garden Nao had discovered, but it was decorated in a special way.

"As for Aru's wedding... I think it would have hanging flowers and the altar would be decorated with stars and a full moon in the center. You would wear a long-tailed dress and the veil would have constellations and loose stars. It will be at night and the decorations will sparkle, then our little Aru will catch everyone's eye when the groom lifts her veil and sees her smiling face."

"Nero, Sora, Yuna and Nagisa had the wedding your sister had imagined for them and I thought you'd want something like this too," Carlisle said, resting his chin on Reverie's shoulder. "It's not night yet, but I couldn't wait to do this. We've been together for centuries and you've made sure that every moment with you is unforgettable for me, you've given me priceless gifts, but most of all you've filled me up and you've never stopped letting me know how much you love me. Maybe it's still too big a step for you. Maybe you don't feel ready yet, but I wanted to take advantage of the fact that we are here again, in Japan, to ask you this.
