“That was more refreshing than I thought it would be,” Sora commented, being greeted by laughter from his siblings, ”but why did you keep some of his remains in jars?”

“That was more refreshing than I thought it would be,” Sora commented, being greeted by laughter from his siblings, ”but why did you keep some of his remains in jars?”

“He may be a son of a bitch, but physically he can still be used to help others,” replied Rêverie, removing her bloody gloves.

“So... what's going to happen now?”

“Now we can do whatever we want. We have an eternity, Sora,” Nero replied with a smile as he put an arm around the younger man's shoulders.

“Oh, and you can go back to the hospital now if you want or you can stay as a teacher until the Cullens decide to leave and Nero with them.”

“Why me?” the black-haired man questioned in confusion.

“You're after Magnus like a dog, so don't tell me that if he leaves, you'll still be here,” she snorted, crossing her arms.

“I think Sora will be the one to go with them, you haven't seen how he's looking for Edward in the corridors with his eyes.”

“Hey, keep me out of your fights!” Sora cried, folding his arms. “Now if you'll excuse me, I still have to get all this blood off and go teach in the afternoon.”

“See?” Nero pointed. “Now he's ditching us just to go see his stupid vampire.”

“You make it sound like you're not going to see Magnus in a few hours,” Sora snorted at Nero's innocent, carefree gesture.

“And I'm back to being the only single one in the family,” Reverie mumbled wryly. “Let's go, don't forget that tonight we have company with Nao's old friends,” she reminded, starting to walk.

“You wouldn't be single if you accepted how you felt!” her brothers exclaimed as they watched her disappear.

Once again she was returning to her flat, it would be her last time there. The place was practically empty after she had ordered her subordinates to take away her belongings and the furniture she had acquired, even if it was only a few.

“I'm sorry…” she uttered, dropping to the floor and staring at the ceiling, “But even if you denied it, you seemed very interested in Moreau's experiments and... I couldn't tell you apart from him anymore,” she admitted, closing her eyes.

The organization had treated her well after saving her, had coddled her and given her freedom, and yet she ended up betraying them with what she hated about traitors.

“I'm a horrible person…”

‘You'll be a horrible person if you keep ignoring Carlisle from today onwards.’
