 ⤷ chapter 004

"I SEE you've found the journal," Robin spoke as soon as Stephanie entered their shared English class, holding the object out to her. She was beyond happy that Eddie had returned it and even more ecstatic that he didn't read it. Imagine if he read some of the pages where she had mentioned him, that would be embarrassing and he'd have so much blackmail material for her. "Where was it?"

Stephaine lowered her voice to a whisper, motioning to Robin to come closer to her with her finger, "You'll never guess, it's like kinda crazy."

"Spit it out before Johnson hears us," She narrowed her eyes at the boy seated beside Stephanie, who was curiously looking over towards the two girls. "Mind your business." Robin then turned back towards the other girl after he looked away from them. "Now tell me."

"Okay, so you know how Jason Carver wanted me to write that response for him, well I had to give it to him yesterday right." Robin nodded. "So he told me to meet him in this random room that I didn't even know existed. So, to sum it up, I gave him the response and then I saw this game setup –you know asked me to meet him in the D&D room? Also before I met with him I was drawing in my journal, so when he came in I guess I just placed it over my bag–"

"Oh my god, you are horrible at telling stories."

Stephanie shushed her, hoping that the teacher couldn't hear them gossiping in the back of the class. "Okay, this is where it gets interesting. So Jason left and I stayed in the room for a bit because I saw the game thing. Then I went to leave, never guess who was behind me, like so close that I ran into him?"

"Dustin?"

"No dumbass, Eddie. Fucking. Munson." Stephanie grinned, only making Robin roll her eyes at the mention of the boy. "So he called me princess, which was like so–" She cut herself off when Robin gagged. "Shut up it's hot."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night honey."

Stephanie shook her head, not really expecting Robin to understand since the girl was so obviously gay. "Okay back to the story, he was there and I did that nervous panicky thing I do when I'm around hot people, and I grabbed my bag and ran. I guess I didn't notice that the book wasn't in there so it fell on the floor."

"Thanks for the great description, really," Robin said sarcastically.

"Let me finish–"

"If I let you finish I'll be graduated by the time the story is over."

Stephanie sighed, "Oh fuck off, back to what I was saying, I was looking for my journal during lunch and guess who approached me?"

"Eddie?"

"Yes!"

"I'm shocked."

"Now, he gave me my book and told me that he found it this morning on the floor," Stephanie concluded her story, giving Robin a proud smile. "And I'm pretty sure I embarrassed myself in front of him because I told him my name in case he didn't know–"

"Okay firstly: That last sentence was the only one I needed from that monologue, and secondly: everyone knows who you are Steph."

"You don't know that."
