BOYS WERE complicated creatures in the eyes of Stephanie Harrington. Some were so sweet that you just wanted to keep them locked in a case –like Dustin Henderson, but others were the biggest douchebags on the planet –like Billy Hargrove and an honourable mention goes to Tommy H. However, there were a wide variety of boys, along with the fact that there were a large variety of girls. It seems though, that no boys wanted to be with Stephanie.

No one has shown interest, other than Billy, but she didn't want to talk about that. She was going on her first date tonight and all she could feel were nerves, she hadn't even had her first kiss and she was 18 years old, which was rare in this day in age. Hopefully, Eddie didn't mind, although he didn't seem to care too much when she mentioned it jokingly the other night.

Stephanie has been sitting in her living room for twenty minutes with Nancy, the TV playing but she wasn't watching it, she was dead set on watching the clock. Nancy had told her that she would leave after Eddie picked Stephanie up which was a relief, she didn't know how'd she be able to do all of this alone.

It was 7:50 and headlights pulled into the driveway, Nancy perked up but Stephanie only widened her eyes.

He was here.

He was early.

She was freaking out.

"You look great, be yourself and you'll be fine," Nancy spoke, watching the girl take in another deep breath.

"I look great."

"You do."

"Okay, I-" Stephanie was cut off by the doorbell ringing.

Nancy grinned and began walking to the kitchen, "Go get him."

The doorbell rang again and Stephanie made her way to the door, she checked herself once more in the mirror and adjusted her skirt. She did look good, now it was time for her to open the door.

Stephanie twisted the knob and pulled, opening the door. Eddie was standing on the other side, looking a bit nervous, thank god she wasn't the only one. He was scratching the back of his neck but stopped his movements as soon as she stepped out from behind the door. Stephanie smiled shyly at him, "Hi."

He was wearing his usual jeans and t-shirt attire but these seemed a bit newer than all of the others that he owned. He also wore his leather jacket and a jean vest over it, his hair was messy like usual, and he looked perfect. Stephanie was pretty sure she would've melted right there from the look he was giving her.

"Hi," Eddie cleared his throat. "You –uh– well you look stunning."

Stephanie looked down to the ground with a blush, "Thank you, you also look great."

Eddie nodded, still taking the girl in, when he suddenly let out a heavy breath, "Well, should we get going, we start playing at 8:30."

Stephanie smiled as she walked out, closing the door behind her.

Thank god for Nancy Wheeler.

"SO, AFTER the gig," Eddie brought up, they have been sitting in a booth at the bar, Eddie with a beer in hand and Stephanie holding a cup of water. They have been getting on well for the majority of the time, he was supposed to go on in ten minutes but his band mates decided to set up for him. Eddie had told her that Jeff apologized and his apology came in the form of letting Eddie spend time with her.
