Freya's POV:-
Eric left me with a bittersweet memory. It all seemed like a fairytale, first with the trek and then meeting Eric.
I felt a bit relieved and happy yet a little sad. Dad wasn't with me neither was the little family I had back home Bren, Care and everybody and most importantly I didn't have the man whose one look unraveled me in ways I never thought possible.
It took me all week to get over the feeling that Eric was here and I got to relive a part of what I left behind home. Saturday rolled around lazily and It was already time to tell everybody the news.
I cleaned my room and cleaned the living room where I set the couch to one side where it touched the outside of the wall to my bedroom. I broomed the floors and set the carpet neatly in the middle where I laid down some pillows and coveralls so we could all lay down and relax cosily. Then it was time for some snacks that we would have. Jack told me he would send some dinner over with someone and I was beyond relived.
Mason helped while I exasperated if everything was in order or not. I nearly strangled him twice and he was fairly keeping to business at the moment while I took a shower and got ready.
Maybe my jitters were due to the fact that I was going to tell my friends things that I thought I wouldn't speak about at all and from here onwards I could expect anything.
I sat on my bed, after shower, in a nude pink sundress down below my knees. It felt as if I was suffocating and it was too hot in the house and the dress was really airated that made me put it on. It was a gift from Bren for my wedding that I never got the chance to put on. It had that vintage look that she loved so much. She would always tell me to put on sun dresses whenever I go out in the summers and force of habit would make me put on jeans or sweats.
I put on my chain watching my wedding band carefully. It was absolutely beautiful to this day even after everything went sour after I put it in my chain just as an unexplainable reminder of sorts. Mason cleared his throat standing in the doorway.
"Nervous?" He asked.
"I have to do this. I owe them this much, they cannot find out from somewhere else."
"Look Freya I understand your hesitation but I know them. We all look out for eachother and you come in that "we" now." He spoke as he walked towards me and sat down watching the wedding band in my chain.
"You never answered my question Fre." I looked up at him.
"There are more?"
He chuckled. "Oh so many more but for now......did you really love him? The father of the baby?" I looked away immediately for the fear that he might see it in my eyes.
"I hate him." I lied to him without looking at him.
"Then why carry his baby? Or this wedding band?" He knew all the right questions to ask.
"Its not just his baby." I dared not to look at him. I wished he would just stop asking me all these things. "I don't want to talk about this Mason. Please."
"I'm sorry if I overstepped my boundaries." He stood up immediately and started leaving. I stopped him taking his hand.
"Thankyou Mason. For everything." He smiled and walked away.
"Thank me when I really do something thats thank worthy." He smiled and left.

Annie was the first one to show up and soon after her everybody started filing in.
"Alright I am here for my lap dance." Noah showed up finally expecting too much I guess.
"Sit down Noah and have some snacks." I walked him to where all of us were seated and pushed him so he would sit and walked back to the kitchen. All of them were here now.
