"He speaks to her in ways no one before him had. And that is why it is impossible for her not to listen."

Mason's POV:-

"You couldn't keep it in your pants for the next three days, could you Peterson?" I spoke up as Alex walked over to my car.

"What? not you too man! I thought bygones were bygones." He chuckled smirking. I wanted to skin this bastard.

Fucking ball brains.

"Man bygones would be bygones if she stops with those rumors about me. The incident is so fresh and you thought bringing Claire and her bitch friends around me was a good idea? You fuckin asshole I'm going to take out of your ass if she decides to go on her barbie parade and I hear one single shit about her hurting any of my friends. Tell her to stay the fuck away." I wanted to punch this asshole.

We all knew Claire was only here as a bed warmer and cheap games where drinking and taking off clothes come into play. I know she is a girl and can do whatever she wants but I am usually the one who gets dragged in all the drama. Alex is a good guy and we've been friends for so long but unfortunately thats just how Claire works.

I don't get why she is so obsessed with making my life hell. She's only using Alex.

I felt Freya stiffen at Claire's name and panic showed over her face as I glanced her way. Why would she not be panicking. She was pregnant and I was on strict orders from grandpa to be at her side at all times. Claire's presence was warning bells.

I looked over at her as her eyes met mine in a state of panic. "This must be the one and only Freya. I see why Mason's panties are in a notch. Hi I'm Alex."

Cunt.

"I'm so very close to running my car over you. Now fuck off before we get late because of you." Freya smiled over at him. There were slight dimples that formed on her cheeks as she smiled. It was usually more visible when she grinned more openly and did not tame her smile like that, which is mostly never. I've barely seen her smile let alone laugh.

Her smile could light up a dark room if it were the case. A ray of sunlight.

I had a dream three days back. The night when I had dinner with her.

The sun was shinning behind her and she wore a sundress sort of a thing smiling ever so brightly.

Her skin sun kissed and absolutely beautiful. God! I wish I could see that everyday. It was like all the turmoil and all the sleepless nights were faded and she stood there as a sign of peace in my life.

I don't know what was worse, me accepting that I was dreaming about her or me actually dreaming about her.

"Sure. Look man no hard feelings she over heard about the trip and you know how she is. I couldn't get her off my back." He shook my hand to know we were fine and walked away getting in his car where Claire sat upfront smiling devilishly.

It was enough to tell me that I would need to guard my friends 24/7 especially Freya.

"Ummm.....Mason......" I knew what was coming by the way her voice changed.

"No! It's not happening. Just cause she is here doesn't mean you have no right to have fun. I'm not having it." It was true. It made me so fucking angry that Claire was only here to make Freya's life hell, just cause we took a trip together. It's all my fault I should've never picked up her call that day.

"Yeah he's true and what are you even saying by the way?" Riley asked. She looked over her shoulder worry still etched to her eyes.

"I know what she was gonna say. She wants me to drop her back at the Inn. No way in hell that'll happen." her eyes suddenly turned hostile and I realized I was ordering her.
