Later that day, Lindsey and Stevie would move forth with other wedding arrangements, just making sure that everything was right on schedule for their daughter's big day.
"So... where are we sleeping?" Stevie asked, settling a hand to her hip.
Unable to help smirking, Lindsey shook his head and averted eye contact for the moment.
"I only ask because although I'm you, I wouldn't want to cause problems by being in your bed... Nor do I feel comfortable being in your wife's bed."
"Yeah, I understand... We can sleep in the guest room," he pointed out.
"We?" she questioned.
"Well, I mean... If you don't mind the company of course... I just thought we could talk before bed like back in the day. Especially considering our circumstances..."
"You make a good point," she agreed. "Well, can I have some pajamas?*
"Yeah, here... This drawer," he walked over and opened it up for her to have access to anything she wanted.
Stevie went through Lindsey's sweatpants and sleep tee shirts, finding the softest ones to dress herself in.
Meantime, Lindsey went into Stevie's bags and he pulled out a nightgown; cotton, not silk, as well as not too skimpy.
While they were back at the house, Stevie only packed appropriate sleepwear for Lindsey to pick and choose from considering they had a lot to get uncomfortable with.
"Nice, I won't die of heat in this..." he assured.
She smirked and went into her bags to find some facial cleanser.
"What are you gonna do?" he panicked just a bit.
"I feel weird going to bed without washing my face and moisturizer..." she assured. "Just calm down, okay? I know what I'm doing. It's not gonna do anything but make you look prettier..."
He rolled his eyes.
"And you have to wash off all my makeup and do the same."
"Just when you thought the day couldn't get any harder..." he sighed.
"We promised to talk care of each other and I'll help you. I just can't take not washing my face..."
"Alright, alright... Carry on," he kind of shooed her to do whatever it was that she wanted, only hoping it wouldn't effect him too much.
After a series of catastrophic events beginning with soap in Lindsey's eyes, followed by excess makeup and almost falling asleep, Stevie managed to get her usual canvas nice and clean and moisturized for the night.
"I dunno what else to say other than the fact that you torture yourself every day by putting makeup... By the end of the night you should just tar and feather yourself, my God..." he walked out of the bathroom, sashaying over to the bed in order to plop down.
Stevie hung back and watched as he got in.
"What's the matter?" he looked back at her. "Well, what isn't the matter right now?" he rolled his eyes. "But aren't you gonna get in?"
"Yeah..." she trailed over rather slowly. "You just seem to have a routine... Guest bedroom or the bedroom you go to when you feel like a guest?" She followed her question up by promptly taking a seat on the edge of her side for the night; the left side as it always had been.
"Yeah... I don't feel at home here. That's why I like go to your place a lot. I know you don't always want me around, but I miss our house, what used to be normal... Nothing flows here..."
