I don't wanna let you go
And though it's killing me, that's true
There's just some things I can't control...Your love slipping through my hands
And though I've heard it all before
I know you're telling me the truth
I know it's just no use
But I can't stay away from you...---
After the newly weds left their reception to their new home, Lindsey was the second to leave and slowly but surely more and more guests left, including Drusilla and James, the only exception was that Charles left to a hotel.
It worked out simply because after everything, Stevie, Lori and Sharon had remained at mansion.
The blonde sat in the middle of the sofa, arms crossed, legs crossed as she stared into space and thought about everything in her life.
"Stevie, I want to tell you something important," Lori claimed, sitting in front of the blonde who was ever so preoccupied.
She glanced up softly. "Lori, honey, if it's about you and my brother separating... I already know..." she sighed, unable to keep up with the simplest of charades.
"What?" she said, a little shocked.
"Chris was trying to give Lindsey advice about me and well, he brought it up. Lindsey told me only because he felt bad," she lied.
"Well, I had been working on how to tell you that as well, but since it's done... I hope you're not upset," she sighed. "I know you're good at finding the point of the problem, but I think Chris and I are just done. We're not getting a long anymore, not even for Jessica's sake."
"I understand... I've done the marriage and babies and divorce thing... I'm nobody to judge, but I'm sorry you couldn't find anything worth saving your marriage," she uncrossed her arms momentarily to rub her temple.
Coming back to her own body was almost a nightmare; she was sore, achy---she had a headache and she was dealing with all those feelings on top of her emotional ones, but she was calm when she spoke to the red head.
"Yeah, me too..." she pursed her lips, rubbing her sister's knee that crossed over the other.
"On the topic of marriage..." Sharon slipped in and placed a hand on the blonde's hand. "What about Charles' offer, hm?"
"I don't even know..." she shook her head. "A man with his level of class, I expected fireworks in France, not a ring in front of everybody at my daughter's wedding. I'm pretty sure the photographer snapped a picture too... Just what I need," she rolled her eyes.
"But still, he's interested... I knew he'd eventually ask," the raven haired woman added.
"And maybe it's a good thing..." Lori mumbled.
The blonde creased her brows, never usually getting that sore of response from her sister. "Really?"
"Well, I mean... I'd assume you... would want to? After all this time. Maybe it's time you settled down again?" the red head shrugged.
"Why would you say a thing like that? That's not really your mentality or way of thinking..." she claimed.
"You don't see yourself getting married again?"
