When Stevie and Lindsey arrived to the church, they could see their other daughters sitting at a table with the registry and guest book, making conversation with many of the people who were making their way into the church to finally sit.
It was planned that nobody would enter the church until the groom and his men got there to greet and seat everybody, after that, would they settle in order to wait on their bride.
Stevie ended up getting out of the driver's side of the car and she sighed, hoping she drove smoothly enough, perhaps fast enough to pass as Lindsey considering he was to be driving that day.
Lindsey jumped out of the car in an instant and he made his way to open the back seat for their daughter.
Stevie did the same, but she mostly helped with managing the gown.
Drusilla was about done with her job by the time her parents got there, but she approached with some powder foundation to pat her sister's nose of any oils peeking through, but all in all, her makeup was pure perfection and in place for her day.
"Wren's gonna sit with us, we have room..." Drusilla mentioned in a whisper.
"Yeah, she can squeeze..." Stevie assured, hand landing on the bride's arm.
"But you guys can go ahead," Lindsey assured.
"You're not coming, mom?" the younger gal replied.
"No, mom and dad are gonna walk me down the isle... together," Melinda assured.
"Oh, well, that's a nice surprise..." she smirked. "We don't have anybody else coming. Pretty much everybody who RSVPed came and signed in, so I think we're good to start, as long as you are..."
"Yeah, I think I'm ready... Kinda nervous, not gonna lie," she let off a hesitant laugh.
"Awe, don't be nervous, sweetheart," Lindsey reached out, rubbing her arm---acting as Stevie would.
"I know, this is what I want..." the young woman mentioned, a nod to accompany her statement.
"Every bride gets cold feet," Stevie then assured. "You should have seen your mom when we got married..."
"Yeah, no, we were nervous our parents were gonna kill us, babe..." Lindsey corrected. "That was the only adrenaline we had going for us, we were excited."
"Very true, I thought your dad was gonna kill me," she smirked. "Even though they threw us our party and everything..."
"Grandpa is very intimidating," Melinda assured.
"That's where I get it from." Drusilla rose her hand, not even a second to think about it.
They laughed.
"Alright, girls... Let's go, come on. Go get it going," Stevie assured, ushering Drusilla. "We don't wanna keep everybody waiting..."
"Okay, okay, I'm going... I'll go seat Wren and then get the rest of the girls and guys and get it going."
Once all was said, the younger gal did as she said she would.
The music began, the people were standing and when it was time for the parents to walk their child down the isle, they took a deep breath and made eye contact.
Stevie took the right side of her daughter, the place Lindsey would have initially taken and his last minute side was the left.
As they made their way down the isle, they walked extremely slow, looking at each other every so often mostly because their daughter's attention was fully on her husband to be.
