Your POV

I sigh in relief as I place the lid on the huge pan of tomato soup before me.

Today is the day that I offered to help the school by helping the dinner ladies prepare lunch and I don't mind doing it seeing as it was me who offered to help, but I just didn't think it would be this boring.

I blow my fringe out of my eyes as I lift the huge pan with both hands and carefully make my way out of the kitchen and into the busy dining hall. I had to make it to the other side so I could set it on the buffet table for students to help themselves, but that is easier said than done.

I walk past the bustling students, managing to keep balanced and not drop it, when I stop midway as I see the most beautiful girl in the world talking to her friends. My breathing hitches in my throat as I see her throwing her head back in laughter at something her friend probably said.

You're probably wondering who this dream girl is, right? Well, her name is Ally Brooke Hernandez and she is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, as I just said. I've had a crush on her ever since I first saw her in kindergarten; since then, I've been hooked.

Her long golden hair is worth more than all the riches in the world; her brown eyes are so beautiful and simple, yet intricately designed, and her smile always brightens my day; she brightens my day. I just wish I could have the guts to speak to her; she probably doesn't even know I exist.

I sigh as I continue walking however, I feel my worst nightmare taking place. I step on something that I feel to be my shoelace, which causes me to trip over and lose control of the pan in my hand, throwing it up in the air and landing on yours truly.

But oh, that's not all. It just happens to land on Ally Brooke Hernandez too.

The whole dining hall goes quiet when they hear the pan land on the concrete with a loud clang. I look up, fearing what I may see. Ally is standing there, looking down at her outfit which is now covered in tomato soup, as well as mine. She looks shocked as she tries to wipe away at the hot liquid.

"I- I'm-" but I stop, unable to speak anything that resembles English.

Her friends just stand there and watch us both, when suddenly, the whole dining hall erupts into the laughter at the sight before them. Somehow, I manage to find my words though.

"I'm so sorry!" I exclaim, moving forward to help her, but pausing, not knowing how to.

"It's-it's okay," she sighs heavily and looks up to meet my gaze. I can't help but feel my heart rate speed up at the sight of seeing her gorgeous brown eyes up close.

"Shall we go to the toilets? I can help you get cleaned up if you want," I offer her with a small, nervous smile.

She nods and looks at her friends who nod and allow her to go. As we both walk out the dining hall, a few caretakers come in and start to clean up the mess I just created.

After a painfully awkward walk to the toilets, we both start to clean ourselves up. I soak some tissues in water and give them to Ally which she gratefully takes and tries to clean her clothes.

When I see that it's not doing much, I say, "I have my gym kit in my locker if you want to use it."

She looks up from her outfit and gives me a small smile. "It's fine, but thank you."

I shake my head and say, "I insist. It is my fault this happened."

She gives in and nods and I tell her to wait there. After running to my locker to retrieve my gym kit, I return to the toilets and hand her the clothes. She takes them and thanks me as she goes into the cubicle to change.

Meanwhile, I try to make myself look less stupid by dabbing everything with wet tissues. It doesn't do much seeing as I still have red stains everywhere, but oh well. I've looked worse, to be honest. Eventually, Ally emerges from the cubicle and I have to admit that she looks adorable in my shorts and tee shirt.

"You look great," I compliment her with a small smile, hoping it eases the tension.

She smiles gratefully and nods. "Thank you, (Y/N)."

I raise my eyebrow, surprised. "You know my name?" Only now do I realise how stupid I just sounded.

She scrunches her eyebrows and laughs. "Of course I do. We've been in the same class since kindergarten. How can I forget?"

I laugh awkwardly and blush, but I'm actually really happy she knows of my existence. "Anyway," I try to change the subject, "I'm really sorry for what happened. I guess I should make sure my shoes are securely tied next time."

She places her hand on my arm and gives me a knowing look. I expect her to say something really important by the way she is looking at me, but instead she says, "Please do."

I laugh and so does she, causing butterflies to flutter in my stomach, then she says, "It's fine, though. Really. I know it was an accident."

I nod and start to intertwine my fingers nervously behind my back, "Okay, well I guess I'll see you around, yeah?" Obviously I won't though.

"Actually," she starts to say, with a nervous smile on her face, "if you haven't already got plans, would you like to sit with me and my friends at lunch?"

I can't contain the excitement I'm holding so I grin and say, "Um, yeah sure." I'm sure my friends won't mind if I ditch them to sit with my crush, Ally Brooke freakin' Hernandez!

"Great!" She grins too and grabs my hand, causing me to feel electricity pulse through me at her touch. "Let's go!"

I nod and allow her to pull me out of the toilets and back into the place that allowed me to become friends with Ally Brooke Hernandez. She could drag me to hell and I would follow her.

I guess helping out some old, crusty dinner ladies benefited me after all.

Sorry I didn't post this sooner - I've been working on some fanfictions and I can't wait to publish them because I'm sure you'll love them! 🙆🏻

Anywho, what did you think of this one? I admit it's not as good as the others, but I've still got Camila and Normani to go and I promise there's won't disappoint :)
