Your POV
After the whole situation with Lauren, I don't think I've ever been more flustered in my life.
Of course I had to explain to my friends that I was lying. They laughed, as expected. But then when I told them about my little conversation with Lauren, they squealed like they had won a million dollars. Yeah, that's my friends for you.
Ever since the whole encounter, I try to avoid Lauren in school as much as possible. She's in a few of my classes which makes it a little difficult, but I manage to not steal some glances her way; I don't really want to see her laughing in my face at how weird of a person I am.
Anyway, right now, I'm eating a packed lunch at my usual table with my friends. We're all just joking about and talking about the randomest of things. Well, that's until I feel a light tap on my back.
As I am about to turn around, I see the girls' eyes look behind me and their expressions appear shocked. Curiosity gets the best of me and I turn around, only for my jaw to drop.
It's Lauren Jaurgeui. Again.
In her black high waisted skinny jeans, white crop top, black jacket and black beanie, she looks like the most badass girl ever. And then the beautiful smile that is gracing her lips transforms her into the most adorable girl ever. How is that even possible?
"Hey, Y/N," she nods in my direction, giving me the cutest little wave ever.
"I promise I'm not making up stories again," I say really fast, feeling a sense of déjà vu as this is the exact same place and situation where Lauren overheard me telling my friends that she is my girlfriend.
She laughs and my heart beat quickens at the sound. "I know, I know. I was just hoping to talk to you in private for a moment?"
Yeah. Defiantly déjà vu.
"S-sure," I stutter, sliding my chair out and standing up. I wonder what she wants to talk about. It can't be something bad because the happy glint sparkling in her sea green eyes says otherwise.
I follow her and she leads me out of the bustling canteen and into the empty hallway full of lockers. Eventually, she stops outside a random blue locker and turns around to face me. I feel my heart rate increase each second she stares at me with those enticing eyes of hers.
"So, what's up?" I break the awkward silence that is probably only awkward for me.
She rubs the back of her neck nervously and shuffles around on her feet. Wait a minute. Lauren Jauregui? Nervous? Is that even a thing?
"I wanted to ask you for a huge favour," she finally begins, placing her hands by her side and staring into my eyes intently. I nod and motion for her to continue. "Well, basically my ex girlfriend, Ella, is meeting up with me after school. She's also bringing her new girlfriend, Alex."
I nod my head slowly, my eyebrows furrowing slightly. Why is she telling me this?
She licks her pale pink lips and continues. "I figured that since you pretended that I was your girlfriend," I blush a deep shade of red as she mentions this, "you wouldn't mind pretending again."
I don't respond, but instead try and comprehend what she just said. This has to be apart of my imagination. Right? Right?!
"W-what?" I manage to breathe out.
She offers a sheepish smile and raises an eyebrow. "I was hoping that you could pretend to be my girlfriend after school?"
My mouth opens to reply, but I close it when I realise I don't know how to answer. She wants me to pretend to be her girlfriend. Me.
