I found myself dreaming
In silver and gold;
Like a scene from a movie
That every broken heart knows;
We were walking on moonlight
And you pulled me close;
Split second and you disappeared and then I was all alone.

Her slender fingers caressed my cheekbone and she watched me with adoration in her sparkling brown eyes. The bright moon that hung in the night sky illuminated her chocolate hair and casted faded shadows across her olive skin. Even at night, her beauty took my breath away

"I love you," said Camila. "I love you so much."

Her hands lowered and enlaced around my waist, pulling me even closer to her. I could feel her warmth against my skin; hear her steady heartbeat beat against her chest, in perfect rhythm with mine; make out every intricacy of her face.

"I love you, too."

As soon as those four words left my mouth, her perfectly shaped lips curved into a smile, expressing her happiness at this moment. Seeing the crinkles by her eyes when she smiled was enough to make me smile, too. I couldn't help myself as I leaned forward and closed my eyes, pressing my lips gently against hers.

She reciprocated and I felt her lips brush against mine, sending me in heaven. My stomach did somersaults, but I ignored the feeling and instead focused on the ecstasy she gave me.

However, that feeling soon drifted away when the presence of my beautiful girlfriend was no longer there. I opened my eyes and came in sight with nothing but the horizon ahead. My heart raced as I searched my surroundings, hoping to catch sight of the brunette. Only, I came to no avail.

She was gone.

I woke up in tears
With you by my side;
A breath of relief
And I realise;
No, we're not promised tomorrow

My eyes shot open, only to see darkness. Well, almost darkness. The street lamps from outside allowed a minuscule of light to peak through the curtains and onto the walls, allowing me to make out few things in the room.

I sat up slowly and pressed my hands to my face, only to come in contact with dampness. A few tears has escaped my eyes whilst I was asleep. I wiped them away and took a few breaths to steady myself. It was only a dream and nothing more.

My head turned to the left and there I saw the perfect form of my girlfriend laying sound asleep beside me. The blankets covered her body, and I could make out the outline of her slender form under the covers. Her long, dark hair was sprawled messily around her head, covering her white pillow that she was laying on. Her face was in my direction and I took the chance to study how peaceful she looked when she was asleep; any sign of fatigue was dismissed as she lay, enjoying her well-earned rest.

I laid back down and planted a soft kiss on her forehead before getting comfortable. Small breaths escaped her mouth every few seconds and blew her hair away from her face. I used my hand to move the hair from her face permanently, hoping it would make her feel more comfortable.

It was only a dream. She was still here with me. I couldn't lose her. I wouldn't lose her.

So I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you;
I'm gonna hold you
Like I'm saying goodbye wherever we're standing;
I won't take you for granted 'cause we'll never know when,
When we'll run out of time so I'm gonna love you
Like I'm gonna lose you;
I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you.
