Act 1, Scene 1

Love being a source of happiness + pain

Music feeds the source of love (personification)

Orsino's lines (1-15) >>> conceit

Orsino is experiencing heartache

He's hoping the music will help him feel 'love' to the point it won't hurt

2-3 >>> asking for his workers to keep playing music so his heart can feel happy again

For anyone who gives a lot of love, it's importance soon leaves and cheapens

Orsino brings it back to love and Olivia

"The hart" is referring to the deer but Orsino takes it as "the heart" signifying Olivia's heart and her love

Viola might be sad but she has to survive so she has to think quickly on her feet
