'Don',
'Report!',
'The bleeding has stopped. Her fever is gone, she's out of the woods -',
'Send her home',
'Sire?',
'Send her home to her family, and continuously do her check ups till she's stable enough to not require medical attention ',
'Yes sire',
The doctor left to do as he was told, he was relieved by this instruction. That girl couldn't take anymore pain, and this life was full of it.
He kept staring into thin air after the doctor left.
One of the scriptures she'd read to him flashed in his mind.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Not to forget the recent development.
Hosea's bride had brought the information that could mean the end of the American mafia. But he had no desire to pursue it.
His office door opened to reveal his mama. She wasn't letting go of the fact that he'd shot Sarah.
'Don', she greeted.
'Mama',
'I wanted to know how long my confinement was for, I need to tend my daughter-',
'Mama it was implied, your confinement is over. And I'm sorry I did that to you',
'Its okay Don, I'd take my leave',
By nightfall the doctor brought the report that her father has come and taken her home. And he also said his services weren't needed.
Donovan had been freed, but age wasn't on his side so his recovery was much slower.
He stared into nothing for a long time. Then that scripture about love came again.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
He didn't know why the scripture was coming to him.
Yes he loved her. Still loves her, but he was one hot headed mistake away from ending her life.
The only person she needed to fear was him, and he was right.
A reform was needed in the household. He just needed to know how to go about it.
He returned to his wing and walked into her room. Nothing had been changed, nothing was taken. He found her bible and journal.
A good excuse to go visiting, but he didn't need that. Neither did she.
He looked around for anything that could be useful for her and packed them up.
He took the bag to Hosea's room.
'Fratello?', Hosea said as he opened the door.
'Make sure Sarah gets these, she should be in her family home',
'Si brother', he took the bag from him.
The next day Hosea was seen at Mr and Mrs Davids' door.
'Oh hello Hosea, what brings you by?', Mrs Scarlett said as she opened the door. He expected a gun to his face not a warm welcome.
'Don't be scared, you're not the brother I have a bone to pick with. Want some tea?', she flashed him a small smile.
'Thank you,I came to return these to Sarah. How is she by the way?'
'She's resting, her recovery is our utmost priority at the moment. My only prayer is that she can get back to normalcy after more than a year with the famiglia', Scarlett said
'Soreilla will do great, can I see her?'
'Let me see if she's up', she left him in the living room. Shortly she returned and said 'this way'.
She lead him to their study where a much better looking Sarah was seated by the window reading.
'I'd leave you two to talk',
'Hey soreilla', he greeted as he approached carefully. He didn't know where her heart was with his family at the moment.
'Hi fratello', she beamed a smile at him. He wanted to believe she was okay but people handled trauma differently.
'I brought these, actually Luigi asked me to return these to you', he set the bag near her.
She opened it and began emptying it's content.
Her favorite riding clothes, some of the jewelry he got her, some hair brushes. These she set aside, finally she pulled out her bible and journal and smiled.
'Thank you fratello', she smiled as she hugged her bible to herself. A note fell out of it, she picked it up and set it aside.
'Oh I have something for you both, do you own a bible fratello?', she suddenly asked.
'Yes I do, it's pages aren't too dusty', he flashed her a smile.
'Haha, okay then. Give this to Luigi for me', she gave him her bible.
'Tell him this was my most priced possession. He should pay attention to it and look after it for me. This is for you, remove the dust on yours. You can pen notes into this',
'Thanks soreilla',
'You're welcome fratello. Hope you'd still come visit? I'm yet to win back my pie from the horse race',
'Are you sure you're up to baking a two foot cake and watching me eat it to my satisfaction?', he asked after mounting his horse
'You're on!',
'See you later principessa!',
'Fratello? Is everyone alright?', she asked hesitantly.
'Yes soreilla, father is alright. And just like you he's recovering well',
'Thank God!',
'Bye soreilla ',
He returned to the estate to deliver the message and the gifts.
She opened the letter that fell out thinking it was a letter from Luigi but was pleasantly surprised that it was the response her mother gave her to the letter she wrote about having some crazy feelings and reactions from being close to Luigi.
Amore, I understand how you're feeling. Love indeed is a beautiful thing, but you need to change your mindset.
You are God's special daughter, and for anyone to have you as it were means that that person has been chosen of God.
It definitely doesn't look like it, but remember what the scriptures tell us in Acts eleven verses nineteen.
'What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common'.She kept the paper.
Admittedly she was hurt when she woke up at home and got the news that she was sent away from the compound. Something that she'd been praying for, and sadder when he didn't even say goodbye.
Well, she'd had an interesting year. What she prayed for now was the ability to return to normalcy.
And that Luigi found Jesus
