"Miss Amara!"

My senses came back to me at narinig ko itong bumungad samin ni Cortez noong pumasok kami sa isang Luxury restaurant, I know this restaurant. It's the finest at this town of ours.

Napatingin kami sa nagsalita at nakita ko ang isang babae na naglalakad palapit samin. She was smaller and younger than me, mahaba rin ang buhok niya at maganda ang mukha, she smiled sweetly at us 'nung makalapit siya.

"Hey Karen, nice to see you." Cortez greeted the woman with a hug.

"Nice to see you, are you here to eat? I'll have the table eight ready for you—"

Her words were cut off when see saw me, lumapat ang tingin nito sa'kin at mukhang nagulat pa siya ng bahagya but she manage to gave me a sweet smile.

"Oh, you're with someone." Baling niya kay Cortez bago bumalik ang tingin sa'kin. "Hi, I'm Karen."

"I'm Avery." Sagot ko at binigyan ko siya ng ngiti.

"Girlfriend mo?" She looked at Cortez with a wide smile, bahagya pa akong nagulat sa sinabi niya. "Galing mo pumili ah, ang ganda niya!"

"What? No," She defended quickly. "She's actually My Professor."

Somehow some part of me felt weird to be introduce as her Professor, what will the others think, right? Going out to eat with your Professor?

"Oh my god, my apologies Miss. Amara doesn't bring other girls here, so I thought you're special." Naiilang na sagot niya sa'kin. Alanganin pa akong tinignan at mukhang nahihiya.

So what am I doing here then? Why did she brought me here 'kung ganoon pala na hindi siya nagdadala ng iba pang babae rito? What made me an exception?

"It's alright." I told her before she left.

"This way, ma'am." Inalalayan ako ni Cortez patungo sa table namin, we sat at table by the corner. It was a table for two.

"Karen, said that you don't bring other girls here," Panimula ko nang makaupo ako, "So, it means you brought someone here, right?"

"I brought my parents here." She gave me an assuring smile, like she read what was on my mind.

"Only your parents?" I asked.

"Yes," Natatawang sagot niya.

"So, you must be here always." I surveyed the place, it was crowded. "The staffs and waiters already know you."

"Yes, madalas po ako dito." She giggled a bit.

Sumingkit ang mga mata ko sakanya, she's always here. Womanizer, I'm not buying the alibi that she only brought her parents here, may iba pa siyang mga babaeng dinala dito, a liar and a womanizer.

"I mean, someone's gonna have to check to see if the business is still alright, My Mommies can't check it, so I do." Her words caught me right up.

"Business?" I asked, nakita ko naman ang pag ngisi niya sa'kin. I was dumbfounded.

"The Cortez and Ramos family own this," She smoothly said before winking at me. "We own this."

I didn't know that her family own this, Sefanie never really mentioned it, gaano ba kayaman ang pamilya nila? This restaurant is a five star restaurant!

Nakatingin lamang ako kay Cortez nang tumawag siya ng isang waiter, a man with an older look approached us in our table. I saw the name tag on his chest. "Jefferson."
