Chapter 2

"Morgan!"

I saw Sefanie leaning onto her car, mukhang may hinihintay. I know who she's waiting for. Ako. Medyo naguluhan pa ako dahil usually ay hindi niya naman ako hinihintay rito sa labas, what changed?

"What now, Ramos?" Tanong ko kay Sefanie as I started walking with her. "And could you stop advertising my second name to the public?"

The week had flew pretty fast, it was now monday already. I have classes today, I just arrived at Cortez High University's parking lot, carrying all of my things while walking inside the campus.

I was wearing a black blazer and underneath was a white top, I also partnered it with my black pencil skirt. My hair was also fixed in a bun with a few strands of hair falling out, I walked through the hallway and there narinig ko na naman ang bulungan ng mga student, good thing that they're letting Sefanie and I through.

"Grabe! Ang ganda talaga ni Miss Ferrer."

"I heard, 24 lang raw siya."

"May boyfriend kaya siya? Kung wala liligawan ko 'to p're. She's exactly my type."

"Sobrang intimidating ng aura niya, dude!"

This is the common chismis palagi tungkol sa'kin, my personal life was private in this university because I chose it that way. They also fear me for being a strict teacher, I choose to be strict dahil kung lalamyaan ko lang ang pagtuturo sakanila ay hindi sila matututo. They're here to learn.

"Ang sikat mo pa rin talaga," Bulong sa'kin ni Sefanie, umiling nalang ako. "Siya nga pala, treat kita mamaya sa cafeteria! Just a thank you for taking care of my cousin, hindi kita na-treat last time."

"You know what?" I faced her. "I hope I never see your cousin again."

"Why? Did something happened?" Agad na tanong niya sa'kin, with widen eyes. "Or did something happened between you two?!"

"Lower your voice, nasa campus tayo." Kinurot ko siya sa braso at agad siyang napadaing. "Nothing happened between us, stop your nonsense."

I started telling her the whole story, lahat ng nangyari. Pati na rin 'noong daling araw na sinundo ko siya sa bar, hanggang sa umalis siya ng walang paalam sa condo ko. I heard her loud chuckles naman 'nung matapos akong magkwento.

"Mukhang trip ka ng pinsan ko!" Natatawa pa rin siyang nakatingin sa'kin, umiiling pa ang ulo katatawa. "But to be honest, I haven't seen anyone hate her. Ikaw pa lang!"

When we got in the faculty room ay agad 'kong ibinaba ang mga gamit ko at tsaka ako nagpaalam na aalis na, I went straight to my class. All eyes were on me when I entered my classroom pero nahagip ng mata ko ang pamilyar na mukha sa dulo.

She was sitting on a chair while facing the window, mukhang hindi niya napansin na pumasok ako dito. I guess destiny's playing with me, just as I thought na estudyante siya and now she's even my student.

"Goodmorning class, you're probably expecting to see, Mr. Flores, right?" I asked out at tumango naman sila sa'kin. "That changed. I will be your adviser for the whole year and also your Professor for BS Civil Engineering, Mr. Reyes assigned me here so keep that in your minds and schedules."

Ang ibang mga lalaki ay nagbubulungan na naman tungkol sa'kin but I didn't mind at tinuon ko ang atensyon ko sa unahan, my eyebrows only furrowed even more when I saw Sefanie's cousin still zoning out in the window. Mukhang hindi ako napansin nung pumasok ako sa loob.
