Sapnap has always been quite good at art. He used to always doodle when he was younger and eventually he always found himself with a pen or pencil in his hand. And practice makes perfect, right? So he would now call himself a pretty good drawer.

In todays art lesson they were supposed to do a freehand drawing of a cupcake with a cherry on top. It was supposed to be a detailed, black and white shaded drawing. And thats exactly what Sapnap's was. His notebook was his biggest achievement; it was full of fabulous drawings, all of which were drawn by him!

Todays art piece looked extra good, and thats because Sapnap had put in extra effort as he wanted to impress Karl. Not in a weird way, just because he wanted to put a good impression on his new friend. When Sapnap did get the chance to look over at Karl's work, he could tell art wasn't his specialty. If Sapnap didn't know what they were drawing, he wouldn't be able to give a correct guess. If anything, it actually quite looked like a dog, and the supposed 'cherry' looked like a cute hat for the animal.

Sapnap couldn't help but chuckle at his friends drawing, and that gained Karl's attention. He looked up from his work and glanced at Sapnap. He instantly knew what he was laughing at, and Karl couldn't help but go slightly pink.

Karl always knew he wasn't the best illustrator, drawing was never his thing. He did usually try, but sometimes he just couldn't be bothered to put any effort in. And this, was one of them times.

"Oh shut up. If you're really going to laugh at mine, lets see yours then." Karl scoffed in a jokey-manner. Sapnap wordlessly held up his paper so his friend could have a clear view of the art piece, and Karl was mesmerised.

"What the fuck! You never told me you could draw."
"It never came up." The boy shrugged, but Karl could tell he was very proud of this particular drawing.
"Its really cool." Karl said, holding Sapnap's paper next to Karl's and comparing their work. "Wanna swap?" He laughed.
"I'm good, thanks." The response was given with a chuckle and a raised brow.

Karl huffed and put his work back down on his desk to avert his full attention to Sapnap's. He couldn't help himself, so he flicked through a few of the pages of the book, and this immediately made Sap anxious.
"Hey!" He said, reaching for his notebook but Karl moved it out of reach and while doing so it stopped on a specific page.

It was a gorgeous drawing of a long haired girl, who was smiling brightly. The drawing showed her full head and finished at the bottom of the neck. She was smiling openly, showing her perfect teeth as she grinned.
"Who's she?" Karl asked while studying the drawing.
"Oh. That's Tina." Sapnap deadpanned.

"Your ex-girlfriend?" He asked, although that question was rhetorical as the answer was clear. "She's pretty." He added.
"She's in the past." Sapnap grabbed the notepad and shoved it back on his desk. Karl mumbled a sorry and Sap just smiled at him awkwardly.

The bell rung loudly, and it once again made Karl's ears feel like they were going to bleed. But he convinced himself he'd get used to it. He had too.

All the students stood up and flung their bags on their shoulders, as did Karl. He quickly got his timetable out of his pocket as he had already forgotten what he had next. And as if on queue, Sapnap asked. "What do you have next?"
Karl read the paper and spoke, "Maths next. Bloody hell."
"Good luck with that, I have English." Sapnap grinned as he led the other out the classroom. Karl rolled his eyes as he followed Sap down the hallway, knowing he was leading him to his next class.

When they arrived outside the English classroom, Karl pulled Sapnap into a hug.
"Thank you." He mumbled into the crook of his neck. Sapnap didn't respond, but he could feel his cheeks becoming red so he figured he shouldn't even try.

Why was he so damn flustered right now?
