Two months had passed. Two months of pure agony for both of the boys, but of course they'd never admit it to each other. They just ignored eachother for a few days after they broke up, but recently they have made an effort to atleast smile at eachother when passing in the halls.

Karl had been sitting at Tubbo's table now, with Tommy. He knew he couldn't be picky with his friends anymore, he didn't have much choice. So, he forgave Tommy, and the two had honestly became close. And of course, he and Tubbo were best friends now, and also he and Ranboo were very close.

Sometimes Dream and George would still talk to him, and maybe Quackity rarely. But it was always just small talk, nothing big. Karl had missed them all, especially Sapnap. He knew that them two separating was for the best, but fuck did it hurt.

And as for Sapnap, he was doing great! Or at least thats what he was telling himself. His grades had dropped, and he spent every night at a random dorm party getting wasted. Although, something people commonly did when they were drunk, was kiss people. But Sapnap? He never did, he could never bring himself to kiss someone new. But, he never told anyone that.

Since all his friends never came to party's with him, it was easy to lie and said he fucked someone new. George and Q were convinced Sapnap was over Karl, he was pretty convincing. But Dream knew better. He knew his friend was hurting, but every time he tried to ask Sapnap about it, he would receive the same answer. "I'm fine, drop it."

Seeing Karl sit with Tommy everyday infuriated him. After everything that bastard did to him, Karl deserved better. But, it wasn't his place to say anything, after all he was nothing to Karl anymore. Or at least, thats what he assumed. But since either of them would say the first word, how could Sapnap know any better?

The boy wished he could just build up the courage to talk to Karl. Not necessarily to rekindle their relationship, but just to make sure he was alright.

They were in a few classes together, but they moved away from each other straight after the break up. The boys knew they could never be friends, not after everything they have felt for each other.

It was now Friday the 17th of December. Christmas was coming up and Karl was so excited. This was his favourite time of year, and a part of that is because he knew his mother would come visit him. She had been taking trips to the school every other week, just to check up on her son.

Karl had told her about his breakup with Sapnap, and she had been very supportive. Karl's mother knew that her son was in love with Sapnap, it was obvious. And that's why it pained her to know that they didn't work out. She would never tell Karl this, but she had a feeling that Karl and Sapnap would find their way back to each other, eventually.

While combing his hair, Karl looked at himself through his full body mirror. Today he chose to wear black and white checked vans, dark blue cargos and a black oversized polo shirt.

His first class was English, and he was so excited for it. For the past few weeks, Tubbo would meet Karl outside his dorm so they could walk to class together. Karl loved having a best friend, and Tubbo was great to him. He never judged Karl when he wanted to talk about Sapnap, which was pretty often, the boy just listened with a smile.

He wished he could say he had been wirh someone new since the breakup, but he hadn't. He could never build up the courage to kiss, or even flirt with anyone else. It just felt wrong, like it wasn't meant to be? And thats the total opposite of how Karl felt with Sapnap. He couldn't help but wonder if he had been with anyone new, and a part of him hoped he hadn't. Nevermind, not just a part of him, every single bit of Karl hoped to god Sapnap hadn't moved on. But everyday was another day that he had chance to. Fuck, he missed that stupid boy with his whole heart.

He walked out his room, to be met with Tubbo as usual.
"Hey Karly." He smiled, and Karl said his greetings. They begun walking down the corridor and they were talking about their plans for the weekends.

Karl hadn't left the school since he and Sap broke up, since the two would always go the skatepark together. He didn't know where else to go, so he just remained in his room. Last Friday Karl went to his room and they had a movie marathon, so he just assumed that'd happen again.
"Sure, we can do that again." Tubbo said with a smile. "Can Ranboo and Tommy come?"
"Uh sure. My dorm, right?" To which Tubbo nodded. "Alright."

As Tubbo entered the english classroom, Karl followed and was then approached by Dream.

Here we go again. Karl though to himself. He always hated this daily small talk, it was so fucking awkward.

"Hey Karl, how are you?" Dream asked with a plastered on smile.
Shit.
"I'm fine, and you?"
"Also alright." Dream nodded, and then they both fell silent. Tubbo had walked away prior to the conversation, so they were just alone at the front of the classroom since the teacher hadn't arrived yet.

"How's um-"
Come on Karl, ask him. You know you want to know. "How's Sapnap?"And Dream's eyes widened, since Karl had never asked that before.
"Uhm- I don't know. He's different, I guess. I think he'd benefit from you reaching out." Dream casually said, but Karl could tell that Dream was very anxious as he spoke.
"I don't think thats a good idea." Karl shrugged. "I should go sit down." And Dream just sighed, but nodded nonetheless.

It comforted Karl knowing Sapnap hadn't moved on. Unless Dream just said that for the hell of it, but surely he wouldn't do that. Karl had been struggling since the break up, he couldn't move on from the boy as he truly did love him. And it made him happy that Sapnap was also not over it, because that shows that they were truly in love. Although, Karl already knew that.

English class flew by since Karl and Tubbo were just laughing and joking the whole time, although they did complete all the work set as the two boys loved English more than any other lesson. Karl's next lesson was Geography, and Tubbo had History so they had to say goodbyes.

Karl was walking down the hallway when his eyes met with Wilbur's, and the boy instantly smiled. Despite Karl and Sapnap's breakup, these two boys still remained close friends.
"Hey Karl, you've got Geog right?" Wilbur asked as they walked side by side through the halls.
"What, you've memorised my schedule now? How cute." He laughed, and Wilbur just rolled his eyes sarcastically.

"No dumbass, I'm in your class."
"Right." Karl chuckled, and the boys continued laughing as they walked to the geography room.
