Dinner had just finished and the boys were all standing up from their table now.
"Does anyone wanna come my dorm and hang?" Quackity asked, and Wilbur quickly responded. "Yeah I will, of course cutie."
"Wilbur shut the fuck up I swear-". Quackity felt his cheeks go pink every time Wil would give Q a stupid nickname, despite it being a joke. Wilbur only laughed in response and followed Quackity out the cafeteria.
Dream left by himself after complaining he was too tired to hang out and that left Karl and Sapnap. But not for long.
"Karl!" A familiar voice said. Sapnap quickly turned around, but sighed when he didn't see Tommy. It was only Tubbo and Ranboo thankfully.
"What's up guys?" Karl awkwardly said.
"Listen about what happened with Tommy... We're really sorry. He can just get a bit much and he feels bad for going off on you Sapnap." Tubbo said and Sapnap's facial expression was priceless.
He wasn't sure how to respond to that.
"Uh- thanks I guess..?" He and Tubbo haven't had a civil conversation in a really long time, so to say this was weird would be an understatement.
"Karl do you wanna come Ranboo's dorm with us two for a bit?" He turned to Karl who was awkwardly standing there.
"Uh actually me and Sapnap have plans, but thank you for the offer. Maybe I'll come sit with you guys for breakfast if that's alright?" Karl answered in the best way possible, he just wanted everyone to be happy with no arguments.
"Oh alright! That's fine, hope to see you for breakfast." Ranboo said as him and Tubbo walked away after they all said their goodbyes.
When they were gone, Sapnap turned to Karl. "We don't have plans?" He asked him.
"We do now." Karl grinned and grabbed Sapnap's hand, leading him out the cafeteria and to his dorm. They entered the room, hand in hand, and both sat on Karl's bed.
"You have some explaining to do." Karl begun, which made Sapnap slightly scared. "First of, my Karl?! What was that?" Sapnap took his hands back and buried his face in them in embarrassment.
"Fuck offffff. I'm sorry that was a mistake. A terrible, embarrassing mistake." Sapnap groaned. Karl laughed and held Sapnap's hand in his, "It wasn't embarrassing! Just maybe, the wrong place." Sapnap scoffed, but couldn't stop the grin on his face from forming.
"And don't even get me started on you putting your hand on my thigh! Fucking hell were you thinking!" Karl quietly screamed in a jokey way, but smacked the side of Sap's face gently to get his point across.
"What?! Did you not like it?"
"I fucking loved it! Fuck you're so hot sometimes I actually can't deal with it." Karl groaned, staring at Sap's lips.
"Oh shut up and kiss me, simp." Sapnap laughed to himself as he pulled Karl in by grabbing the sides of his face and kissing his lips gently. Karl giggled in the kiss as he couldn't help but smile at the boy he was kissing. Words couldn't even describe how he felt about Sapnap, in such a short amount of time these two boys have become so close.
"Hey sapy?" Karl says, pulling out the kiss.
"Yes babe?" Sapnap purposely uses the pet name which makes Karl choke on his spit awkwardly. The other chokes a laugh at Karl's reaction and waits for him to speak.
"Why are you here?" Sapnap is asked by Karl, but he instantly regrets it after he notices the changes of the boys facial expression.
Sapnap looks uncomfortable as he opens his mouth, trying to find the right words to say. He hasn't told many people why he's here, the only one he's told was Tina as its not something he is proud of.
"Well.. It's kinda private." He says, and Karl's eyebrows tilt. He is clearly hurt that Sapnap doesn't trust him enough, who wouldn't be?
"Why can't I know? I've told you why I'm here and I haven't told anyone else." Karl mumbles, staring down at his hands.
"Its different, I'm here for doing something bad, you're here because your parents are assholes." Sapnap responded.
"Either way. I trusted you, now its your turn." Maybe Karl was using emotional manipulation in this moment, but he just wanted to desperately know. Why Sapnap was here is a part of him and it clearly means a lot to him, Karl simply just wanted to know.
Sapnap looked at Karl like his world was crashing down. "The truth is..." He begun, and Karl was on the edge of his seat. "I robbed multiple shops for money."
"What? But- but thats illegal! How the fuck are you here and not in prison?"
"You think i should be in prison?" Sapnap stood up from the bed and stared at Karl wide-eyed.
"What? No! No no not at all I didn't mean that!" Sapnap looked terrible, he took a few steps back but didn't take his eyes off Karl.
"Sapnap wait.." He mumbled, getting up to his feet, but it was too late. Sapnap had opened the door, stormed out, and slammed it after him.
"Fuck." Karl mumbled to himself, unsure of what to do next. Of course Sapnap shouldn't be in prison. But this piece of news made Karl realise that he honestly doesn't know that much about Sapnap. Maybe they rushed into this too quickly and it was no backfiring?
