Two years have passed since Karl and Sapnap were laying in bed together that one morning. Two whole years, and somehow the boys were still together. They got released from the school last year and they are now both eighteen years old.
After they left, the school gave every student £20,000 just to get them on their feet, and they also encouraged all the students to get jobs of their own; which of course, both Sapnap and Karl did.
Karl was working in a local library, although it was just minimum wage. He didn't earn a lot, of course, but with the money from the school, and his mother also giving him monthly payments he was doing pretty good for an eighteen year-old.
Sapnap was in the art industry, he had taken his passion for drawing and turned it into a career path. He is currently in college part time, but paints custom paintings for people and then charges between £120-£300 for each piece. So overall, both the boys were quite financially stable and that led them to then buy a house together.
Moving in so soon might seem silly to some, but these boys knew what they wanted. They had been together for almost four years, so they knew that they were ready for this.
They purchased a small one bedroom house, but it was located in a nice upcoming neighbourhood so it was a good place for the two. They decorated it so it looked absolutely lovely, and neither of the boys could be happier.
Karl's mother visited the two every few months, but it wasn't as often as Karl would've hoped. But the house they bought wasn't in the town Karl's mother lived, so it was quite a journey unfortunately.
"Babe I'm going out with Dream." Sapnap shouted from downstairs, with his boyfriend upstairs in their room picking his outfit of the day.
"Alright love, when will you be back?" Karl moved to the top of the stairs and shouted back so his boyfriend could hear.
"I won't be long, maybe a few hours." Sapnap said, his tone quieting as he then walked up the stairs to his lover. "See you later, okay?" He kissed Karl's plump lips before then kissing his nose.
"Okay, I love you." Karl said before then kissing Sapnap's nose, with a soft giggle following straight after.
"I love you too." And then, Sapnap made his way down the stairs and out the door.
This was the first time in two years Sapnap had lied to Karl. Although it was for a good cause! He wasn't meeting Dream, instead he was going to a jeweller. And this was because Sapnap had been planning to propose to Karl for a few weeks now, but it took him awhile to purchase the ring he wanted. But after the bought it from the shop, he then headed to where he planned to propose.
Taking his phone out, he now decided to text Karl.

And Sapnap just laughed at his phone before shoving it back into his pocket.
He shortly arrived to his destination, it was a big open field with the grass cut very short with many flowers surrounding. Sapnap had brought a picnic basket filled with Karl's favourite snacks. He brought a few LED light strips and stuck them underneath the picnic blanket, so the light would shine from the underneath. He set the colour a dark red to match the blanket, and then sat down for a few moments before then pulling his phone out again.

He laughed, before putting his phone down on the blanket. He had about ten minutes before he needed to go pick up Karl, so he just lay down and begun practicing what he had to say in his speech.
"So where are we going?" Karl asked after he had just been picked up by his boyfriend.
"You'll see." Sapnap smirked. "You look gorgeous."
"And you look sexy." Karl grinned at his boyfriend. "You weren't wearing that when you left before were you? I could've sworn you were dressed differently."
"No, I changed after I left, didn't want to ruin the surprise darling." Sapnap said as he placed his free hand on Karl's thigh, with his other hand on the steering wheel.
The car was then parked in this run down parking lot which was very close to the field. Karl nervously chuckled, "This isn't what I was expecting."
"Trust me, you'll love it." Sapnap said as he got out the car and ran over to Karl's side so he could open the door for his lover.
"What a gentleman." Karl laughs and Sapnap just rolled his eyes.
They begun walking, with Sapnap leading the way of course. When they got into the field, Karl was asked to close his eyes by his boyfriend. He did as he was asked, but Sapnap put his hands over Karl's eyes anyways.
"Don't you trust me?" Karl fake pouted.
"Not one bit." Sapnap joked and Karl just scoffed in response.
When they approached the setup, Sapnap's nerves were sky high. As he removed his hands from Karl's face, the boys widened at the romantic scene.
"Sap..." He whispered as he looked around at all the flowers and then the blanket. "You didn't have to do all this babe."
"I know i know, i wanted to impress you, of course." Sapnap grinned and then both the boys sat down opposite each other on the blanket.
After they ate the snacks, Sapnap knew he was running out of time to do this. He had held it off till the last minute because he was honestly so anxious.
"So uh- one more thing." Sapnap said as he held Karl's hand and stood up with his boyfriend then copying his actions.
"Hm?" Karl hummed in confusion.
This was it, he was going to do it.
Sapnap slowly crept down onto one knee, and he instantly saw Karl's face widen.
"Karl Jacobs..." He begun, and kept his eyes fixated on his lovers. "Ever since I first saw you in Ms Turners office, I knew you were going to change my life forever. You made me realise that things are never as they seem, and life is full of surprises. Then we started getting closer and closer, and I just knew I loved you."
He took a deep breath.
"And now, I would like to have your hand in marriage so we can grow old together, because I never want to be without you Karl." A small tear crept out of Sapnap's eye.
"So I guess what I'm trying to say is,
Will you marry me, Karl Jacobs?"
"Sapnap I- Yes! Yes fuck yes I will!" Karl jumped up and down, and Sapnap then got up to his feet. He gently grabbed Karl's hand and placed the ring on the boys finger, thanking god it was a perfect fit.
Karl leaned in quickly and kissed the boy, "I'm so happy right now." He said, and he truly did mean it. He had never been so happy in his whole eighteen years of living. Now this, this is what life should be like.
