Phoebe Wheeler and Lucille Williams were best friends, they did everything together. That all stopped a few months ago when they're friend died. Sydney was the reason Phoebe met Lucille, she invited her to play hide and seek in middle school and since then the three were inseparable.
That would end soon. Phoebe and Lucille were on deaths clock, Vecnas clock. She couldn't wrap her head around the thought, it was daunting knowing that one day she was going to die. Today or tomorrow, she didn't know and that simple fact scared her the most.
She didn't care about her life as much, Lucille was more important to her as was Max. She would risk her life a million times over if it meant they survived.
"Hey Pheebs you with me?" Eddie reached forward taking her hand, she jumped slightly softening at his touch.
"Yeah i'm with you." She sighed glancing up at him and then at Quinn who lazily smoked a cigarette glaring out at the lake.
Quinn decided to stay with Phoebe and what he considered to be her 'cool' boyfriend. He liked Eddies company and the values he held towards life.
He realised quickly the people of this town were assholes, especially after the rumours they spread about the boy who clearly just had different opinions to them.
"Want one Phoebe?" He smirked handing out the box to her, she scrunched her nose up in disgust.
She only ever admittedly smoked when she was drunk, she only made exceptions when she was desperate, right now she was desperate for some bud not a silly nicotine rush.
"Uh did Max or Lucille call in?" She said.
"Not a peep. I'm sure they're fine.." Quinn mumbled throwing the cigarette off into the distance.
"Yeah.. They are Pheebs i know it." Eddie took her hand reassuringly.
"It's just Lucille has two left feet and Robin she isn't great under pressure.. Nancy is the only one who will be able to get through they're stupid plan with ease." She groaned running her hands through her hair.
She knew Lucille and Robin would probably mess the whole plan up but she was ok with it, as long as they figured out a way to save all of them.
She glanced up again fluttering her eyes harshly at the sight in front of her, this couldn't be real. A clock broken and slanted was forced into the wall of the boathouse ticking away; one, two, three, four and five.
