There was no enjoyment found in walking, not for Phoebe anyways, it was a known fact, especially to Eddie, the constant whines and huffs were extremely frustrating but he put up with it because it was her.

So here she was kneeling over the side of a tree huffing for air that had been swung out of her lungs after the rather agonising trail.

"Ten minutes Phoebe, it's been ten fucking minutes" Steve yelled over his shoulder, she flipped him the bird rubbing the sweat from her forehead as she watched everyone trail off ahead.

"My feet were not made for this" She complained just as Nancy backtracked to her sister.

"Come on little princess let's get moving" She tugged at the jacket on her sister's arms trying to persuade her to get moving again.

"I knew you were all trying to kill me"

"Dustin's leading and if he can do it then so can you" Nancy responded, she glanced over at her sister's features her eyes droopy and red, a little bit of blood drying around her hairline.

She felt extremely guilty for leaving her with Eddie all alone, vulnerable and scared. Nancy knew she wouldn't care really, she had a lot of alone time with Eddie and she knew he could protect her if need be, he was the one that saved her after all.

Yet Lucille had died and she wasn't there for her, she would have assumed her first instinct would be to run back to her sister and comfort her just as Phoebe did when they all found out Barb actually had died, Phoebe didn't leave her side just as she didn't with Will when he came back.

She slept in Nancy's bed for a week cradling her when she cried, she even attempted to make their grandma's favourite soup, which didn't end well, yet she still gave her points for effort.

"Are you okay?" She finally asked just as the pair stopped again so Phoebe could flail her legs around to try to get the pain to stop.

"I'm okay."

"I'm your sister Phoebe. You don't have to lie just to make sure I feel okay." Nancy whispered.

"I'm not okay." She sighed "Lucille died, I'm never going to be okay I've just got to live with it" She shrugged leaning a hand on Nancy's shoulder "I'm probably going to die Nance and that's something I've come to terms with, I'm just terrified of leaving everyone behind.."

"Hey stop, you are not going to die there will be a way to save you and Max, there will be a way to clear yours and Eddies' name, I promise."

"Don't bullshit me, Nancy.." She let out a sly laugh shaking her head "Save me and Max yes. Me and Eddie being free from the torment of the town? Probably not."

"We will Phoebe, one way or another." The words felt like poison trailing off the end of her tongue, she knew there was a likely chance she was lying and that there would in fact be no safe way out of this.
