Hours had passed, two tortuous hours to be exact. All spent in silence, apart from the one moment Steve asked Phoebe to take the wheel, which she replied with silence.
The image of her dead boyfriend consumed her, nothing else worried her anymore, it was just this. The thought of the plan made her sick she didn't want to go through with it - not if it meant losing him.
"Hey, we are here." Quinn softly whispered placing a hand on her trembling thigh, she slid the headphones around her neck and smiled up at him nodding.
Those were the first words anyone had spoken to her since they left, not even Eddie dared to confront her about her facial expressions once the others entered the RV. She clearly wanted to be left alone, no one even mentioned the fact she was listening to Max's playlist on shuffle and not just sticking to one song, purely because she knew Vecna didn't plan on paying her another visit any time soon.
"I'll be out in a second." She heard her sisters voice muffled against the door, she looked up again noticing everyone including Eddie had left the RV with all of the supplies they successfully gathered.
Nancy slid into the seat next to Phoebe she didn't say anything she just held onto her hand.
Nancy and Phoebe weren't as close as people would assume, especially with them being twins. They shared different aspects about life, different life goals and plans yet they were sisters, no matter what they would be there for each other.
Nancy knew, just by the look on her sisters face, she knew.
"Remember when Barb died? You wouldn't leave my side, especially after the funeral when you weren't comforting Will you were making sure to comfort me, you always put yourself before others Phoebe," Nancy spoke up "And i'm so so so sorry i wasn't there for you, not after Sydney and not after Lucille. You don't need to tell me what he showed you, i know it was something straight from your worst nightmares. The image of you dead still makes me feel sick... I just don't think i could ever lose you."
Her sisters words had her stomach turning she couldn't even bring herself to look up because Nancy was right, she never blamed her or hated her but she was right. Nancy never made a appearance after Sydney's death, she was focused on helping Jonathon move and didn't find the time to comfort her sister as much as she probably needed too.
As for Lucille, Nancy watched her die. There was no way she could be mad at her for not comforting her after that.
There was only one thing she could think to say, something that would hopefully lighten the sorrowful atmosphere the RV now held.
"If it makes you feel any better after Vecna took you, while Eddie was 'bandaging' me up he went down on me, like fully, so no Nancy i'm not mad at you, I love you and yes i do feel incredibly guilty so please for the love of all gods do not be mad."
