((Deadlox's POV))

"Ty..?" I tear my gaze from the (moderately violent) breakfast at the sound of my name. It's the first time in a long time I haven't heard him say it with sadness.

"Hey Jason. I admit, I thought Sky would end up here first." Jason looks like he did when I died. A boy in his late teens with his hair messed up, almost as if he had just taken off his hemet from a day of keeping it on like the weirdo he is. His shirt is not bloody like on the body he left behind, and his skin doesn't have the drained color.

"I... I died." He says quietly. I nod. I guess I've gotten used to it by now, I forgot how much of a shock it was.

"Yeah, I'm sorry it was so slow, too. You were in a coma for the past twelve hours." A new look of horror passes over his face, but he seems to get over it quickly.

I look back at the kids eating. Jason does as well, and he seems to relax a bit. The girl, Alice, is keeping up her unemotional expression while stirling her oatmeal, and the boy with the red eyes... Indy, I think, looks somewhat relaxed for the first time. Max... made the right choice. He glances at Alice, grins, and kisses Indy on the cheek.

"I'm worried about them. I didn't have much time to train them, they aren't ready for a war." Jason says quietly. Alice's eyes widen, and she starts freaking out. Indy looks shocked, and Max is having a laughing fit. I smile.

"We didn't have any training, remember? Look how far we got. They still have Sky, and I can teach you to help them out from the other side. We can't do much, but there are little things you can do to push them in the right direction when they need it." This seems to help Jason feel a bit better, and he smiles as well.

Max looks our way, and for a second, I could swear he could still see me. Then, he waves, and I realize he's looking at someone behind us. Then I get the pleasure of hearing Jason's first yelp of surprise and horror as someone walks through him for the first time.

"You okay there?" I ask. Jason appears to be in shock, so I just shake my head and look back at the group. They seem to be distracted by something, and I turn to see four people leaving. I'm hit with a sudden mix of emotion, and it's not something I'm fond of.

"You're not over him, are you?" I glance back at Jason, then at Sky. His glasses are broken, he's beat up, and he has a slight limp. His hair is messy, but not more that it usually was when I was around. Alesa has her arm around him, but I guess I don't mind. She helped him get out of a dark place. A place I put him in...

"What, am I not allowed to look at my old friend?" I snap. Jason looks a little hurt, and I feel a bit bad. He did just die, I could be nicer. Before he or I could apologize to the other, Max stands up and catches our attention.

"Sky, um, sorry I forgot to say this earlier, well, not forgot, just... Yeah. Deadlox says hi. He wanted me to tell you that." There's an awkward silence, then Sky smiles. His smile hasn't changed, not one bit.

"Thanks Max... Thank you." Max nods, then is pulled back to the floor by Indy, who is still slightly flushed. Jason looks at me, and I shrug.

"Okay, so maybe I'm having some trouble but... Ya know..." Jason shakes his head.

"You're hopeless." I flip him off, but this just seems to make him amused. I look back at the three kids eating on the floor, now joined by the girl from another world... Sam? They're smiling, talking, and joking around. Jason doesn't really look offended, but they hardly knew him, so maybe he just respects these kids taking a break from the hell of the previous months.

"They're so different from us. What's going to happen?" Jason mutters. I shrug.

"The Indy kid is going to learn to face his past and lead the Squid Army. He's going to get a lot of rebellion, they won't like he's friends with the new leader of the Sky Army. Max now knows he can survive things a normal human can't, and something tells me we'll being getting several visits from him in the future. All we can do is watch, there's very little you can do once you're dead." Jason nods, but I can tell I've lost him.

Alice puts her hair back, and Max cheers fro himself when he manages to light a glass of water on fire, causing Indy to make a surprised squeaking sound. I can see why Jason thinks they're different, but I see the three of us in these kids. The leader, the planner, and the, ah, destructive one. They are different people in a different time, but the stand for the same thing.

They are the modern revolution, the next leaders, the new generation.
