When you give him a plushie you bought but he didn't accept it because his girl best friend is in front of you.

Staring at the cute plushie I bought a month ago, I smiled to myself. I had saved up a lot of money just to buy this, and now I was finally going to give it to my boyfriend, Jimin.

It wasn't just any plushie, it was kind of expensive compared to the ordinary ones. I spent most of my allowance on it, but I didn't mind. I just hoped Jimin would cherish it the way he cherishes me like I'm the most important person in his world.

I gently placed the plushie in my backpack before heading out. I decided to walk to school instead of taking a cab, I couldn't afford to spend more money after what I just bought. Besides, the school wasn't that far.

As I walked, I couldn't help but imagine Jimin's reaction. A month ago, he gave me a cute teddy bear, which I carry with me everywhere. I hoped he would do the same with the plushie I was about to give him.

Jimin and I had been together for a year, though we barely got to spend time with each other because of school. Sometimes, I wondered if he regretted being with me. Especially with her always around his girl best friend, Jia.

She followed him around like a lost puppy. I knew they'd been friends for over a year, and I tried to act like it didn't bother me. But honestly? It did.

When I arrived at school, the first thing I saw was Jia and Jimin laughing together. Again. I rolled my eyes internally. I wanted to confront him and tell him to stop spending so much time with her, but I didn't want to come off as childish... so I just let it go.

"Y/N!" Jimin called out, pulling me from my thoughts. I turned to him with a smile. "Hey."

"Hi, Y/N," Jia greeted me too.

"I have something for you," I said, pulling the plushie from my bag before it could get squished any further. But just as I was about to hand it to Jimin, I spotted his other best friend, Jiwon, approaching us.

"I was walking past a store and saw this plushie," I explained. "It was a little expensive, so I saved up my allowance to buy it for you. I really hope you like it."

"Aww, that's so sweet of you, love," Jimin smiled as I handed him the plushie. "You didn't have to spend your allowance just for this—"

"Hey, Jimin! I bought you a plushie too, yesterday!" Jia suddenly interrupted, holding out her own gift.

"If you don't want mine, I can just throw it away..." I said, already seeing the hesitation in his eyes.

"No, no, no—I'll take it!" Jimin quickly hugged the plushie I gave him, making me smile. Jia stood there, looking stunned.

"You sure? I could buy you something else you'd like—" I started, but he cut me off. "Please don't spend more of your allowance on me. Keep it, love." He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss on the lips, right in front of them.

I was shocked, in a good way. I didn't expect him to be that bold, especially with Jia right there. But what about her plushie?

"Let's go inside," Jimin said, putting his arm around my waist possessively.

"He didn't take this, huh? Jiwon, you want it? Better you have it than me tossing it in the trash," Jia said, handing the plushie to him.

"Whoa, really? Thanks!" Jiwon hugged the plushie with a huge grin. Cute. "You sure about this, Jia? I thought you were gonna give that to Jimin," Jiwon asked, a little confused.

"Just take it. You don't want me to change my mind, do you?" she replied, giving him a sharp look. What was that glare about?

"I always thought you and Jia were a thing," I admitted to Jimin as we walked. He laughed. "That's ridiculous. Don't even worry about her, she already has a boyfriend. See that guy over there?"

He pointed to Jia and Jiwon, who were walking together, trying their best not to look like a couple.

"Jiwon? Jia and Jiwon? Since when?"

"Eight months," Jimin said, grinning. "She's been too shy to talk to him alone, which is why she's been hanging out with me so much. But I think she's finally gotten the courage."

I giggled, relieved. "You could've told me sooner."

"Where's the fun in that?" he teased.
