When your grandma brought your son on the beach where you both ended your lives.

"The beach!" An eight year old boy shouted, running along the seashore with joy sparkling in his eyes. His laughter echoed in the salty breeze as his grandmother watched from not far away, a gentle smile tugging at her lips.

"Grandma! The beach is so beautiful!" Haru called out, flashing his radiant smile, the same one that always warmed her heart.

"It really is," she replied, her voice soft. "Haru, come here for a moment."

She sat on a cluster of rocks, weathered smooth by time. Haru slowed his steps and walked over, sensing something in her tone.

"Do you know why this place is so special to me?" she asked, her eyes gazing at the waves.

"Hmm? Why, Grandma?" Haru asked, curious.

"This is where Y/N and Jimin met for the first time... and also where they met for the last time."

"My mom and dad?" Haru blinked, tilting his head. "Grandma, I want to hear their story. Why did Mom leave me and never come back?" His voice wavered slightly, confusion shadowing his innocent face.

"Haru, my dear grandson... your mother did what she did for your sake and so did your father," Grandma said gently. "After your grandfather passed away, Y/N's parents abandoned her. She was left in my care, and from that day on, she became my treasure."

She looked at him, her eyes filled with both pride and sorrow.

"I raised her alone, made sure she finished school. When she got accepted into college in Seoul, I had no choice but to let her go, it was her dream, after all. Years later, she came back... and she brought a man with her. Park Jimin. Your father."

Her voice softened at the name.

"They stayed with me for over a month. I trusted Jimin. I saw in his eyes just how deeply he loved your mother. Their relationship was beautiful, and after you were born, it felt like everything was perfect... until your father was falsely accused of a crime."

"What? My father?" Haru asked, eyes wide.

Grandma nodded. "Yes, Haru. The police were after him... and your mother, too. Someone accused her of being involved. But your mom was innocent, she was just protecting herself and your dad."

"They left you in my care," she said, her voice catching. "Your mother kissed you on the forehead and said, 'Grandma, please take care of Haru.'"

Haru's heart sank.

"Why didn't they go to the police and explain everything? If they were innocent..."

"Because people were furious, Haru," she answered. "They didn't want justice... they wanted blood. Even if your parents were innocent, no one would have listened." She took a deep breath.

"And then... they came here. This beach. That night, during a storm, they walked into the sea together."

"No..." Haru whispered.

"The case was eventually closed. Your mother had confessed she killed a man, but it was in self-defense. Still, it was too late. They had already chosen their fate."

Silence settled between them, the waves crashing in the background like the echo of a farewell.

"They didn't have a choice, did they..." Haru said quietly. "No, sweetheart. Sometimes life doesn't offer many options."

She took his hand gently. "Come on. Let's get you some ice cream."

"You always know how to make me feel better, Grandma," he said, managing a smile. "Seeing you smile makes me happy too." She smiled, though something lingered in her eyes.

"Haru... I may not be here for much longer."

"Where are you going, Grandma? Are you... leaving me? Forever?" She placed a hand on his cheek.

"Haru-ah... life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. And you, my dear, are going to create something beautiful."
