It was 12:30 and I was almost tempted to knock on Mr. Montero's door to ask him if he wanted any lunch but he had been a bitch all day so he could starve.

If I didn't get out of here right now, I would starve too but I was scared to approach anyone with knowledge about restaurants nearby.

I hated talking to people I didn't know.

It was stupid to be this wary of my fellow humans and I hated myself for it.

Besides Mr. Montero and the receptionist for this floor, I didn't know anybody else up here so I went down to the lobby to see what Gina, the receptionist, was doing for lunch.

Pitiful, I know, but what's a girl to do when she's hungry and has no work friends?

I wish Mel worked here.

I didn't even know what people ate around here.

Was there a deli hidden somewhere in this place?

It was certainly large enough to facilitate something like that.

After the elevator ride down to the lobby, I had come to find out that Gina wasn't there.

Dang it.

After deciding to take matters into my own hands, I opened my purse, took out my phone, and opened the GPS app so I could find a restaurant nearby.

Turns out there was a Wendy's a few blocks from the office and I could tell that this was going to be my lunch spot from now on because of how convenient it was.

I opted to walk the short distance because of the environment and all, plus I needed the exercise.

Mel had shown me that I was about as fit as a show pig.

If I was Wilbur, I hoped no one would try to bathe me in buttermilk unless they planned on giving me half the prize money.

Why did Charlotte's Web pop up in my head every time a pig did?

"Move it along, stargazer!" A fat man grunted at me, frightening me out of my childish daydream.

I hadn't even realized how snail-like I had been walking along the narrow sidewalk.

After putting some pep in my step, I arrived at Wendy's in the next five minutes.

Pretty good time for someone who doesn't exercise, I know, but I'm just that amazing.

The line inside was pretty short, luckily, so I got to the cashier at the front in a jiffy.

"Good afternoon, could I have a spicy chicken wrap combo and another wrap only?"

I was absolutely in love with Wendy's wraps.

I just couldn't get enough of them.

How splendiferous was it that there was a Wendy's this close to my new workplace!

"That'll be $5.58," the cashier said listlessly, chewing on a stick of gum quite loudly.

I gave her the money, collected my receipt then waited for my food.

After about ten minutes, my number was called so I got my food and elected to head back to the office to eat because in here had begun to get crowded.

What a good thing I had come here earlier because the line had become extremely long in a very short span of time.

After making sure that all my belongings were secured, I started the brief expedition back to Montero Industries.
