"Were you ever involved with the flight attendant that was on the plane?" I asked after we got into the shiny, black Rolls Royce Rafael had rented for our stay in Florida.

"Farrah? No, why would you think that?"

"I don't know, I was just wondering."

"You are the first and only employee that I have ever had sexual relations with. I don't mix business with pleasure, that's one of my rules."

"Oh," I said, feeling foolish to have let that stupid flight attendant get in my head.

She probably had some crush on him and had just been trying to cause trouble.

"Well, it was one of my rules," He said, emphasizing the 'was'.

I laughed.

That rule was unquestionably thrown out the window a long time ago.

"I'm breaking all the rules, now."

"What other rules did you have?" I asked curiously.

"Not meeting my girlfriend's parents. It made things too serious, I've never wanted to meet any girl's parents before. But I'm finding that I want to be serious with you."

"Why is that?"

"Because I love you, and I see myself having a future with you."

"Ugh, how do you always know what to say?"

"It's a gift."

I laughed because he was right.

It was a gift.

"Okay. What are the directions to your parent's house?"

I told him and he followed what I said to a T, and we were soon parked in front of my parent's house.

We had got here way too quickly in my opinion.

I needed more time to get ready to face everybody.

My parents were outside before we could even get out of the car.

"Last chance to back out," I said to Rafael.

"I think it'll be okay," He chuckled before opening the car door.

So he thought, but he didn't know Vince and Linda Milani like I did.

After all, they were my parents.

Rafael's POV
===============

"So you're the one who's been putting my daughter in danger."

Mia's dad looked at me with a grim look on his face.

Fuck.

Mia's mother had welcomed me into her home without reservations but I knew that I had been in deep shit when the father said he wanted to speak with me in private.

We were now in his man cave I was guessing because there was a pool table in the middle of the room surrounded by other games such as foosball and pinball, and a television in the corner hooked up to a PlayStation that probably belonged to Mia's brother, Marcus.

"I know it looks bad but there is a valid explanation for what happened, Sir," I said, hoping he would at least listen to what I had to say before coming to the conclusion of whether or not I was good enough for his daughter.

I knew I wasn't good enough for her; but that didn't stop me from wanting her, needing her, every second of the day.

"Well, then explain. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't forbid you from seeing Mia again."
