"I had a nice time with you this week, Rafael," I smirked, pinching his bicep playfully.

"You only want me for my body, don't you?"

"Maybe," I lied, eying his left hand that rested lazily on the steering wheel.

He was wearing a black polo shirt so his delicious arm tattoos were out for me to salivate over.

"Ouch."

"I'm obviously joking," I amended before he could think I was being serious.

"I know," He grinned at me, taking my hand into his free one as he drove down the freeway to New York.

I wanted to lick all his tattoos.

"I didn't let you rest much, did I?" I said thoughtfully, reminiscing about everything we did in Newport.

Rafael brought me almost everywhere in town in just seven short days.

We went to museums, the beach, and on a yacht, and yesterday he took me on a romantic picnic.

Ants ruined it, but that was okay because we just went back home and had sex.

We did a lot of that this week.

I hoped it didn't get boring for him because it got better every single time for me.

He was learning what I liked and I him which made sex more natural for us each time.

"I didn't mind, trust me," He chuckled, rubbing delicious circles in the area between my thumb and index finger.

I blushed at the thought of all the things we did, hoping we could just leave town again one day and stay away for a month or so.

Maybe in that time I could finally wear him down and get him to tell me more about himself.

In that aspect, I was an open book and he was like those diaries with little locks on them.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the key at the moment but sooner or later it would cause problems in our relationship if he didn't open up the damn diary that was a metaphor for himself.

My thoughts were interrupted by the familiar ringtone of Rafael's cell phone which had been resting in my lap.

I passed it to him, not bothering to check who was calling him.

"Hello," He said after putting the phone to his ear.

"Yeah."

"What?"

I was dying to know what the person on the other line was saying.

"That's crazy."

"Well, thanks for calling, mom."

It was his mother.

Okay.

"Love you too," He replied before hanging up the phone.

"Is everything alright?" I asked with a frown as I stared at his troubled expression.

"Dr. Fields was killed."

My eyes widened in shock.

"Do you think it had anything to do with you?"

He shrugged, "Who knows, but this is what I was afraid of."

"Him dying?"

"No, getting you involved. What if whoever killed him tries something with you?"

That made my heart beat a lot faster than before.
