"Is this really necessary?" I asked, fighting the urge to peek through my blindfold.

Yes, I said blindfold.

"Yes, or else the surprise will be ruined," Rafael replied and I would bet my paycheck that he was smirking devilishly.

I rolled my eyes even though no one could see because of the cloth covering half of my face.

I would never admit it to anyone but something about being blindfolded made me extremely horny.

Maybe when I got crazily comfortable with Rafael, I could ask him to incorporate that into our sex life.

"I know you just rolled your eyes under there."

I gaped, "How did you know?"

"I didn't, but you just confirmed my suspicions," He chuckled then I felt the car turn right onto a really rocky road.

After a few minutes more of driving, we finally stopped and I assumed we had arrived at our destination.

"Can I take off my blindfold now?"

"Wait," He said before I heard him open his car door.

As soon as he did that, the smell of salt and brine enveloped my nose and I instantly knew we were close to the ocean.

My car door was suddenly opened by Rafael, who carefully removed my blindfold before helping me out of the car.

"Wow," I breathed as I took in the big white yacht in front of us.

We weren't close to the beach, we were basically beside it.

"Do you like it?"

"It's amazing."

"Great, because we're having dinner on it. Oh shit, I forgot to ask; you don't get seasick, do you?"

I shook my head, still partially in awe of this big beautiful boat.

"Great, because that would have been unfortunate."

A pudgy man in a sailor's uniform with a thick mustache emerged from the yacht and crossed the small bridge that temporarily connected it to dry land.

"Mia, this is Roberto. He's the one taking us out on the water."

"Hi," I awkwardly waved at the pear-shaped man, "it's nice to meet you, Roberto."

"Likewise, Ms. Milani. Mr. Montero, are we ready to set sail?"

Rafael looked at me expectantly and I nodded eagerly, excited to get going because I had never been sailing before.

"We're ready," he confirmed, taking my hand and leading me onto the glamorized boat.

The interior was even more gorgeous than I could have imagined.

There were two stories filled with amenities like an ample-sized hot tub, plenty of leather seating, and multiple bedrooms which I was yet to see.

There was probably a helipad somewhere on this huge vessel.

"What's its name?" I wondered out loud.

I hoped it had a name because I heard that it was bad luck to not name your ship or boat.

"Adeline. It's technically my mom's yacht."

"Wow."

He spoiled his mom and I loved that so much.

You can tell a lot about a man by how he treats his mother.

"I got her everything she needed to be happy in Newport but I guess she wasn't meant to stay in one place."
