"How are you bebs?" Azariah inquired as we entered a restaurant and placed our order. Kie isn't with us because I left her with my parents.

"Fine," I said, smiling. "Do you have any work or—-" she paused, "I don't have any and I'm looking for new work."

"Do you have a work recommendation?" I ask. "I can't let just stay in the house because I have Kie to provide for all of our needs," I said, and she just smirked.

"I have if you're interested in this company then go."

"What company?" I inquired, and she only smirked. "Yang group company," she said, and my lips parted. "Azariah!" I exclaimed, and she laughed.

"What? He's not here, so why don't you apply? And then you can resign if he's here now," she shrugged.
Napapailing akong napainom sa juice na nilapag kanina ng waiter.

"Aba hindi naman pwedeng yang pride mo na lang pataasin mo noh! May anak kang binubuhay kaya dapat lang na dun kana mamasukan tsaka," lumapit ito sa akin. "Malaki ang sweldo roon kaya kung ako sayo mag-secretary ka muna for the time being."

"Pag-iisipan ko." Bulong ko. I'm still frightened, and I can't see that man's face anymore, but he's now married, and I'm sure he doesn't care about me anymore, so what's the point of not applying to their company? Wala namang masama.

Aside from Kiezhiea, I need to find a job in order to provide for all of her needs, and I need to swallow my pride.

After a few weeks, I was just sitting on the couch, waiting for the company's call. "Anak," Mama said as she sat next me, and I smiled.

"What are you concerned about?" I bit my bottom lip. Mama is unaware that the company I applied to work for is the owner of the child's blood line.

"I'm just worried, Mama, that I won't get a job." Hinaplos ni Mama ang buhok ko at ngumiti ng magaan.

"Fritzie pwede ka naman naming tulugan ahh"

"Ma, hindi naman pwedeng aasa na lang ako sa inyo di ba?"

"Pero Anak, papahiramin ka muna namin o di kaya wag mo nang mabayaran basta makatulong lang kami ng Papa mo hanggat di ka pa nakaka hanap ng trabaho mo." pinisil nito ng marahan ang kamay ko.

"Pag-isipan mo yan ng mabuti hah?" Tumango na lang ako. "Sige ipagtitimpla na muna kita ng kape at ire-ready ko na rin yung gatas ng apo ko." ngumiti ako at tinanguan ng Ina.

Huminga ulit ako ng malalim at medyo nagulat ng mag ring ang telepono. Tumayo ako at tinitigan iyon ng ilang segundo bago sagutin.

"Hello"

"Hello Ma'am, is this Ma'am Fritzie Wren Madrid?" I was surprised for a second before responding. "Ahm... Y-Yes," I murmured quietly.

"Ma'am, I just wanted to let you know that you've been accepted as a secretary in the Yang group company."

"Talaga po?" I exclaimed, a little nervously. "Yes, Ma'am, and you can begin on Monday; the CEO was waiting for you, and be prepared, Ma'am."

Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko at dahil sa saya'y dahil natanggap ako sa trabaho ay kumaripas ako ng takbo papunta kay Mama at niyakap siya.

"Tanggap nako sa trabaho, Ma!" Masaya kong aniya. "Congrats anak." At dahil wala sina Papa at si Shawn ay bumalik na sa pamilya niya ay tatlo lang kami nila Mama na narito sa bahay.

"Ipagluluto ko kaya ng masarap na ulam." tawa ni Mama.

"Mommy!" napatingin ako sa likuran ko at nakita si Kie na mukhang hindi maganda ang araw. "You're so noisy." maliit ang boses na iniya na tinawanan ni Mama.
