Kakashi had been with the Elementalist for two weeks now, it was time to go back to Konohagakure. Although he was reluctant to leave, he knew he couldn't abandon his village. If he did, he would become a rogue ninja. He wished he could stay longer. "Yo Kakashi, stop staring at my sister" He heard Yuka say with a laugh and a pat on his shoulder. "I... I wasn't..." he stutters "Oi, you totally were" Yuka starts laughing "Wait till I tell her" he says and runs over to his sister, Kakashi's eyes go wide "Oh Kaaaaaaaariiii" he sings "Kakashi li.... aaaah" he starts but is tackled by Kakashi, the gray haired boy had his hand clamped on Yuka's mouth. Hikari looks at the boys with a confused expression. "Kakashi-san, Yaku... What's going on?" she asks. Yuka licks Kakashi's hand and instantly gets released "Kakashi likes......mmmmph" He starts before getting his mouth clamped again by the gray haired boy. She narrows her eyes at them, a smile playing at her lips. She walks closer until they could almost touch, almost. Kakashi's heart fluttered at how close she was and unbeknownst to him, so did hers.  He had the sudden urge to kiss her. But before he could , she was already walking to her house. Basket of herbs on her arm. He watched her retreating figure in awe, totally speechless.

"Mmmmph mmmmph mmmmmmmph" Kakashi realized that he was still clamping Yuka's mouth with his hand and released the poor boy. "Kakari or Hikashi, I ship it either way!" Yuka exclaimed with excitement, earning some weird looks from some of the other villagers. "You're such a weirdo" Kakashi says with a blush on his face, luckily he was wearing a mask so no one could actually see. Yuka knew Kakashi was blushing. Because despite the mask, Yuka could read him effortlessly. "You're blushing! The great Kakashi is blushing!" he teases the gray haired boy "Shut up" Kakashi says "Admit it, you like her. You like Hikari. Don't even try to deny it, I've known for a while." Yuka says.

Kakashi didn't answer. It was true, he did like her. But nothing could ever come from it, she would never leave her village behind an he couldn't leave Konoha. "And I know for a fact, that she likes you too" Yuka says, Kakashi stops walking while Yuka kept walking as he hadn't noticed that the other boy stopped. "She does?" Kakashi asks. "Of course she does! Are you blind or something? Everyone knows you two like each other with the exception of the two of you." Yuka says turning to his friend. Kakashi looked at the ground and shook his head. "It can never happen" he whispers sadly "Why not? What's stopping you?!" Yuka exclaims "I have to go back to Konoha soon" he explains "So? I get that you don't want to betray your village and I get that you can't stay here forever." he says "But...?" Kakashi asks "But..." Yuka goes on "You two could write and you could come by whenever you're nearby or when you have free time and...." he sighs "I don't know man, but it's worth a shot. Don't you think?" Yuka adds "Besides, you're already like another brother to me." he says with a wink. Kakashi gave him one of his famous closed eye smiles. "You're like a brother to me too" he says.

A couple of days later and Kakashi was ready to leave, although reluctantly. The Chisaka family was waving him off. He said his goodbyes and was about to step over the threshold. "Kakashi!" Hikari called running over to him and before he even had enough time to properly turn around, she engulfed him in a hug that seemed to last forever. Everything seemed to disappear, there was only them for just that second. She closed her eyes, taking in his smell. Hikari was reluctant to let go of him, because the moment she did... She wasn't sure if she would ever see him again and the thought of not seeing him agaain, was simply unbearable. Unbeknownst to her, he felt the same way. She eventually let go of him and give him a sad smile, took a deep breath. "Just wait a second, a want to give you something." she tells him and runs back to the house, dashes into her bedroom, basically ransacks every drawer to find what she was looking for. Finally she did. Two identical boxes, with colorful drawings of flowers, a river, some trees... One was blue and the other was red. They were different, yet the same. She took the red box and ran back downstairs, back to the gray haired man that was now waiting patiently for her to return. Hikari stopped in front of him and held out the box. He looks at it with confusion. "It's a set." she starts "I have one just like it. Anything you put in here, will end up in the box that I have." she explains "Now you have no reason not to write" she adds with a laugh. "How?" he asks "Well, you know about the many different kekkei genkai that we have here?" she asks and he nods "This is one of mine" She says "It's some sort of dimensional or time-space manipulation, kind of hard to explain" she adds with a giggle "Thank you" he says "You're welcome!" she says with a smile. He turned around and stepped over the threshold. She watched him leave, he looked back.... But she knew he couldn't see them anymore. A small tear drops from her eye onto her cheek. She wipes it away before anyone could see.
