Months went by and still nothing. No sign of his father, not even the slightest sliver. Nothing. It had been five months already since he had left the akatsuki. Yuri regretted not staying longer, but there was no saying when the events from his vision would take place. He still had those visions just about every night. Clear, yet hazy. There was no telling how long he still needed to wait. One way or another he suddenly gained a following. A cult almost. They had started gathering after he'd been taking jobs. Mostly collecting money owed, sometimes having to take a life if they refused to pay up. Eventually the jobs just came to him. He was the best in what he did. If that was a good thing or a bad thing, he wasn't quite sure. But it paid handsomely, so he didn't really care. He could eat, afford a roof over his head, buy clothes and most importantly to him..... he could buy as many sweets as he could stomach.
They sat at a booth, cloaked in white as they always were, faces hidden by their hoods. An older man approached. The man took a deep breath as he stepped closer. "I'm looking for Shiroi Akuma" he said standing a little straighter, but you could clearly see him trembling as the cloaked people turned his way. "I have a job for him" he squeeked out. The smallest figure, waved his hand for them to leave him alone and they left. "So, you have a job for me huh?" Yuri said. The man was confused at how young the man in front of him sounded. "I assumed you would be older" he muttered "Baaaka" Yuri said in a bored tone "You should never assume anything" he added "Hai" The man said trembling because he had heard many stories about the individual sitting in front of him, enough to know that he was not to be messed with. "So.... The job...?" Yuri asked in annoyance. Why did this always happen. Why did they always just assume. "Right" the man said, placing a poster on the table. "I want him dead" the man said nodding towards the poster "And I'm willing to pay a lot of money for it" he added "How much?" Yuri asked, not that he cared that much. He already had a lot more money than he knew what to do with. The man threw three large bags onto the table. Yuri tilted his head slightly as he grabbed one of the bags and opened it. Filled to the brim. "Consider it done!" Yuri said, taking the bags of the table and pocketing them. "Hey! I thought I only had to pay you after you delivered" the man yelled "Sate, sate, sate.... If the job isn't done within a week, I'll give you back double" Yuri said, uninterested. "Leave now. Before I kill you as well" Yuri added, his voice growing dark. The man jumped slightly at the tone and scurried. White cloaked people started gathering around the boy once more as they resumed their old spots.
It only took him two days to track the man down and behead him, delivering the head to his costumer as proof that the job was done. The poor man probably shat his pants once he laid eyes on the body less head on his doorstep. This job had been an easy one and Yuri was bored once more. He could barely believe his luck when he was summoned by Gato to kill an old geezer of a bridgebuilder. Gato promised a large amount of money for killing the bridgebuilder. Yuri got an unsettling feeling. That feeling only got worse after seeing the poster. He recognized the man as the dinosaur from his visions. "Why me?" Yuri had asked "Because you are the best, aren't you?" he asked. "Hn" Yuri said as he thought about it for a second. "Not interested" he replied, standing up and walking away. Gato's jaw dropped as he watched the small white cloaked figure disappear from his vision.
