Ryo sat with his five month old nephew sitting in his lap. They were playing with some building blocks. "I think you like this more than he does" Yuka says jokingly, he just stood leaning against the wall. Yuka was observing his older brother and nephew and would occasionally taunt his older brother. Ryo's tower was coming along quite nicely until.... Yuka pushed it over. Yuri started laughing at that and Ryo glared at his brother. "Baka!" Ryo said "Baaaka" a small voice said, Ryo's eyes widen and he visibly pales. "Kuso" Ryo cursed "Kuso" Yuri said with excitement. Yuka laughs loudly. "'Kari will kill you when she finds out" Yuka says "When I find out what?" their sister asks, narrowing her eyes at her brothers. "Baaaka. Kuso" Yuri says while clapping his hands. Hikari's eyes widen and glared at her older brothers. "Hey don't look at me like that, Ryo taught him those words not me." Yuka says, innocently throwing his brother under the bus to save his own skin. Hikari could be quite scary, even more so when it came to her son. "You better run, brother" Yuka says, taking the small child from his brother's lap. Ryo didn't need to be told twice and ran past his sister. "Baaaka" Yuri says again and Hikari angrily runs after her brother. "Baaaka" Yuri says again, Yuka laughs "Good job, kiddo" he says holding his hand up to Yuri. Yuri instantly slaps his hand with his own. That was something Yuka had been trying to teach his nephew, it was a big success! "Baaaka. Baaaka. Baaaka" the small boy in his arms happily sings. Yuka chuckles "That's your new favorite word, huh?" he says, ruffling the small child's white hair.
"I'm home!" Kakashi called out after he arrived back home after being gone for around two months. "We're in the nursery!" Hikari calls down to her husband. Kakashi takes his mask and his shoes off and goes up the stairs towards Yuri's nursery. He realized that it was already quite late and that it was most likely Yuri's bedtime. He stands by the door for a while, taking in the image in front of him. Hikari looks up at him and smiles. "Look Yuri, Papa is back" she whispers to her son. "Paaapa" Yuri says. "Is that his first word?" Kakashi asks in awe. Hikari shakes her head. Kakashi went over to her and planted a kiss on her lips. "Hey, buddy" he says ruffling Yuri's massive white locks "Baaaaka" Yuri says. His small hand goes to his hair and aggressively ruffles his hair even more up. Kakashi gave his wife a confused look. "That... Was his first word" Hikari says."Ryo said it in front of him and now he just keeps saying it" she says with a sigh "It is what it is, I'm just glad he doesn't use the other word as often" Hikari tells him, rocking Yuri in her arms. "What word?" he asks. Just then Yuri drops his favorite stuffed animal. A white rabbit with very long ears. "Kuso" Yuri says as he drops it. Hikari groans and Kakashi's eyes widen. Yuri starts whining and making grabby hands towards the toy. Kakashi bends down and picks up the fallen toy."Ryo?" he asks looking up wife. Hikari nods. Kakashi hands the toy back to his five month old.
Yuri had gone down easily. But of course he woke up not even an hour later, crying his eyes out. Hikari sighed as the rain was ticking against the windows, the wind howling through the streets. "I'll go" Kakashi told his wife. They were sitting next to each other on the couch, each reading their own books. Kakashi kissed his wife's white locks and went upstairs, book still in hand. Yuri was standing up in his crib, trying to get his leg on the railing and face red from crying. The boy immediately quiets down when he sees his father, stops trying to climb over the railing and bounces up and down in excitement. Which causes the small child to lose his grip on the railing and fall back down on his butt. Kakashi is quick to catch him before his son could bump his head against the rails of his crib. Yuri was lifted from the crib and Kakashi sat down on the rocking chair, placing his son on his lap. He takes his book, Icha Icha paradise, and starts reading aloud. His son always fell asleep much easier when his father or mother read to him, this was discovered pretty soon after the boy was born. Kakashi didn't think it mattered which book he read as long as he read something to his son.... So he might as well enjoy it, right? Besides Yuri was only a baby, he wouldn't actually understand any of it.
Hikari awed at the sight of Kakashi sitting in the rocking chair with a sleeping Yuri in his arms. But as she looked a little longer she saw the book Kakashi was holding. At first the color drained from her face and then her face turned red in anger. Thunder boomed and lightning struck all over town. Hikari wanted to yell at her husband, but restraint herself not wanting to wake her son. She wasn't just angry, she was furious. Kakashi had heard the thunder and as he looked up from his book he saw his wife, looking ready to kill.
