Another day, another fight. Yuri was a little nervous for this one, even though he usually didn't get nervous before a fight. He wasn't worried per se, but it felt different than other days. Perhaps because this would be his last fight in the arena, perhaps because he knew what he was supposed to do. The plan Yato had prepared had him taking hundreds of lives and Yuri wasn't completely sure if he was comfortable with that. Sure, he'd killed those people in the land of Frost. But he hadn't foreseen that, that wasn't planned. This was. He vaguely heard the speech being given at the other side of the doors that led to the arena. Cheering was heard, but the thoughts clouding his mind made it so that he could barely hear it, even with his sensitive hearing. The push in his back and the now open doors told him it was his cue to step into the arena. He took a deep breath, before he stepped through and into the arena.
At the other side of the arena was his opponent. His eyes widen a little in surprise as he recognizes the boy in front of him. The familiar shaggy black hair and the boy's emerald green eyes stared back at him. Yato. The boy wore an apologetic smile as he looked upon the young boy in front of him. Yuri looked at him with the sad eyes, but quickly changed the look back to his normal look of extreme boredom. "An exciting match for today even if I do say so myself." The green haired man spoke "Two of our best, neither of these have ever lost a fight. In one corner we have Nemuri no Yami...." he goes on. The crowd cheers and claps. ".... In the other corner we have our public's favorite fighter, our beloved.... Shiroi Akuma!" he finishes. The cheering gets louder, the crowd starts chanting his name.... or well.... Nickname. "I won't hold you in contempt any longer. Count with me. Shi. San. Ni. Ichi! Let's start this fight!" He finishes his speech and gets down from his stage. The two boys get into fighting stance. Eyes meet and the boys give each other a small nod to signal the start of their plan.
A small smirk graced Yuri's features. Yato formed some hand signs and released some kind of dark fog over the crowd, making them fall asleep almost instantly. This jutsu penetrated the barrier without any problem. The sleeping crowd made it easier for Yuri to locate their captors. After the first initial confusion as to what was happening, the guards started coming in from the sides. Yuri and Yato's eyes locked for a second in a mutual understanding as to what was to happen next. They gave another small nod to each other as if to say 'I got your back'. The two fought side by side, their teamwork was magnificent. It was almost as if they've never done anything else. Yuri froze them just before Yato struck one of them, completely shattering that one. Yuri let a blast of wind go through the other ones, successfully breaking them in billions of pieces. "What the hell do you think you two are doing" the man with the scar, who Yuri remembered as one of his kidnappers, said. Yuri had recognized him immediately both because of the appearance and because it was the same heartbeat as he had heard many times before as the man had tortured him. Yuri's eyes shone with fury. "Baaaka" he said as he listened to the beats of the scarred man's heart. The you boy captured the heart, stopping from beating as he held his hand up in air. The man gasped for air, clenching his chest as he felt his heart being squeezed. "S-s-st-stop" the man struggled to get the words out "Baaaka" Yuri repeated, his voice void of emotion, as he balled his hand into a fist effectively crumbling the scarred man's heart to pieces. The man fell to the ground as a puddle of blood, guts and gore. Nothing more nothing less.
Yato looked at the remains and started turning green as nausea took over. He threw up all that was in his stomach . He had heard stories about the young boy's power, but this..... This he did not expect nor did he wish to see this. That image was now burned in his mind till the day he died. Yato had not been prepared nor could he have ever been prepared to witness this. The older boy was so out of it that he hadn't seen the attack coming for him. Suddenly lightning struck the attacker in his stomach. "Baaaka. Stop staring into space and fight!" Yuri yelled, with his hand in his opponent, snapping the older boy back to reality. "Sorry" Yato breathed out.
The attacks were still coming and they were vastly outnumbered. Yato and Yuri were stronger than any of them, that's why they were chosen. That's why any of the prisoners were chosen, they were all powerful in some unique way. They were caught at their weakest point in life, whether that was physically or mentally. Didn't matter. All went through the same process of torture, having to fight for their lives and still entertain. More torture followed after, even if they did well. Branded as if they were animals, branded as a slave. That's what they were.
Blood splattered everywhere as Yuri killed and killed and killed. He only lifted his hand a squeezed as captured their heartbeats. Explosions all around, he felt the bloodlust. He needed more. Thunder rumbled loudly and lightning vigorously around the arena. Yuri felt the power surge through his veins engulfing his very being in lightning. Yato looked in awe at the boy's transformation. Yuri fought with such speed that all you could really see was the bleu hue of the lightning that surrounded. Men dropped like flies as Yuri went through them with such speed.
Suddenly extreme pain soared through his back, making Yuri drop to his knees and nearly scream out in pain. Tears threatened to fall as he was in excruciating pain. An enormous amount of power escapes from the young boy, just as it had done on the day he was captured. Instantly, everyone in the arena was dead. Walls were starting to crumble. Yuri's vision had faded in and out, he slowly exited the building. It had been in the middle of nowhere, so no innocent people had gotten hurt. But the surge was felt many towns over, although most played it off for an earthquake.
Yuri stared at the building with hatred in his eyes. Lightning struck, causing it to catch on fire. He raised his arms and with his elemental powers he made the building crumble to the ground. Yuri moved the earth in a way that any and all evidence that the arena had ever been there had all disappeared. All the bodies, all the signs of a bloodbath were all wiped out by fire and earth. Yui fell to his knees, tears streamed down his face and loud sobs racked through his body. Every pinned up emotion he had, all the pain he endured,.... It all came out at once.
