Itachi snorted at the sight before him. They had gone for ramen as per demand from Yuri and said boy had managed to fall asleep next to a half-eaten bowl of ramen. Itachi was glad the kid would finally get some sleep as it had seemed that little boy never slept.... ever. It wasn't even that he wasn't tired, he was. But the young child still had nightmares, memories, visions... Itachi tried to comfort him as much as he could and so did everyone else in the akatsuki, because if Yuri didn't sleep.... then no one would.
Itachi put the money for their food on the counter. He carefully picked the boy up. Yuri stirred and for a second Itachi froze, but the small child just snuggled closer to him. Itachi let out a sigh of relieve. He walked back to the hideout, only stopping briefly to buy some chocolate. This kid really had Itachi wrapped around his little finger and Itachi didn't even mind. He had become quite fond this white haired ball of chakra. He became a sensei at first, but became a big brother instead. Someone the small child looked up to and in return the boy kept him alive. His life was literally in the child's hands.
He got to the hideout and walked inside. "So, the thunderbird is finally asleep huh?" Kisame says loudly as Itachi came inside with the small child in his arms. "Hn. Could you not be so loud, you will wake him up" Itachi replies. As if on cue the boy's eyes flutter open. Itachi sighs in defeat. "Nii-san...." Yuri mutters tiredly. He snuggles closer, closing his eyes again and going back to sleep. A smirk crept on Kisame's face. "Not a word" Itachi whispers threateningly "Nii-san, huh? You really have replaced your little brother" Kisame says with a laugh, paying no heed to Itachi's threat. "Hn." Itachi replies as he walks out the room.
It was early in the morning, moon still high in the sky, hours before the sun would rise. Yuri had been up for quite a while, he never slept much due to the haunting memories that plagued his dreams still. He closed his eyes and formed the mud with his will, creating his opponents to practice his fighting skills on. He was faced with golems, creatures made of clay that were created using his elemental powers. Seventeen in total. They weren't alive or dead nor could they be killed, only the elemental powers that gave them life could destroy them. "Massssterrrr" they said simultaneously with deep gruff sounding voices, that sent shivers down Yuri's spine, as they bowed towards the white haired boy. Even though he created them, he still found them quite scary looking. "How may we sssserrrrve you, massssterr?" They asked in unison. 'Creepy' Yuri thought. "I want you to fight me." Yuri states "Yessss massssterrr" they replied "And don't go easy on me" Yuri says with a smirk, sending a wink their way "As you wish, massssterrr" they replied once more in unison.
They came at him at once, he hadn't even had the chance to parry his feet. 'I didn't even say start, yet' Yuri thought with a groan as he received a blow to his stomach and sending him into the wall, leaving a large dent. He held his hand out, creating a shield of pure chakra. 'Why did I have to make so many?' Yuri thought as he gritted his teeth. 'I'm such an idiot' he though, scolding himself for getting too cocky. He couldn't hold them much longer, not with the shield anyway. 'How are they so damn strong?' The young boy thought to himself. He released the shield, quickly clapping his hands together. In doing so he created a torpedo of air, flinging several of the gollum's into the surrounding walls.
The vibrations were so strong that they created an earthquake and made the walls crumble ever so slightly, effectively waking up every akatsuki member that was present at this moment. They all rushed down, thinking they were under attack. Yuri stood there sheepishly scratching the back of his neck, smiling at them awkwardly. They took in the surroundings, there were clumps of clay all over the place. Their eyes landed on the small boy in the middle of the chaos. "Oops?" Yuri says almost apologetically. They face palmed almost simultaneously.
