Itachi had brought Yuri back with him to the Akatsuki hideout. At first they were weary of the boy, but soon he was accepted into the group. Although not as a member of the Akatsuki. He was simply too young to be a member, he was accepted into the group as Itachi's student. Itachi became a sensei to the young boy. And although sensei and student had only known each other for two months, they'd become close. Yuri was a quick learner. Whether it was ninjutsu, tajutsu or genjutsu.... It just came naturally. Yuri had issues in some other areas. Itachi had learned early on in their training that Yuri got distracted very easily and overall had trouble staying focused. Although that was probably due to the fact that he was barely three years old. Reading, writing and math didn't go as smooth either. Yuri got frustrated easily and more often than not books magically caught on fire.... end of lesson. It needed some work, but Itachi was confident that he'd get there.
"Focus, Yuri" Itachi lectured the small boy in front of him. The boy had gotten nicked on the cheek by one of the shuriken he was meant to dodge. "I'm trying" Yuri replied with gritted teeth "Try harder. Again" Itachi states, collecting the shuriken and kunai. "But sensei...." Yuri whined. "No buts" Itachi says poking the young boy's forehead with two fingers. "Ready?" Itachi asks as he stands into his previous position. "Hai" Yuri replies parrying his feet. He holds his kunai in his right hand. Itachi threw the shuriken at his student. Yuri quickly reacted. He dodged and deflected all of them, all you could see was a white blur. The shuriken were lodged in the walls all around them, even in the ceiling. There were a few that almost hit Itachi, but he dodged them expertly. Yet, no additional scratch on the white haired boy. "Good job, Yuri" Itachi says as he ruffled the young boy's white hair. Yuri was breathing heavily, they had been going at this for hours on end. "We'll resume training tomorrow" he added "Now how about we go get something to eat?" Itachi asks. Yuri just nods his head up and down in excitement. Itach chuckles at the small child.
Itachi and Yuri walk through the village, Yuri's small hand in Itachi's bigger one. The boy had the tendency to get distracted and wander off. When that happened Itachi usually found him covered in chocolate, that kid was obsessed with chocolate or dango.... anything sweet really. But he loved chocolate the most. Other times the child could be found petting and playing with the cats and kittens in the village they were in at that moment, he also just had the tendency to smuggle the cats into the akatsuki hideout. If it were up to him, they'd have all the cats in the world. Itachi looked down at the white haired boy. "Sensei, can we get some chocolate from that stand? Pleaaaaaaasssssseeeee" Yuri whined pointing at the shop selling chocolate. Itachi sweatdropped as the boy starts pulling him in the direction of the shop without waiting for his answer. "First a proper meal. After that you may have some chocolate" Itachi replies, he knew that starting an argument with a three year old would be pointless. Besides, Itachi simply couldn't say no to Yuri. He'd grown a soft spot for the little boy that somehow reminded him a bit of his little brother. "Oooooh dango!" Yuri exclaimed. Itachi chuckled as he shook his head at the small boy beside him. "Let's get some ramen" Itachi says, the boy's eyes light up. "Ramen! Ramen! Raaaaaamen!" he exclaimes jumping up and down in excitement, making it hard for Itachi not to burst out laughing at the child's antics.
