Yuri ran through the forest as fast as his small legs could carry him. The uneasy feeling at the pit of his stomach growing as he neared his destination. Where he was going, he did not know. He only had his senses leading him to the clearing near the water. He was late, again. But just in time to see the four of them get slaughtered by Zabuza Momochi, a rogue ninja from Kirigakure. Someone Yuri had met before, someone that had tried to kill him but did not succeed. As the orange blob fell to the ground, an enormous power released and the nine tailed fox stood proudly before them. It was giving of serious killer intent.
Yuri sat up with a start, eyes wide. His breathing was ragged, sweat soaked his forehead. He dragged his hand through his hair as he tried to steady his breathing and lower his heartbeat again. The dreams were getting more frequent, they felt more urgent. Almost like they had felt the day his clan was massacred, but not quite. He took in a shaky breath and decided to get up as he would not get anymore sleep tonight. The boy sighed as he walked outside. He looked up at the sky, the stars were shining brightly across the black sky. They told him that he couldn't have been asleep for more than a few hours. Three hours at most.
He closed his eyes and breathed in the air around him, feeling the grass tickling against his bare feet. Yuri lifted his hands and moved them atop of each other, creating a ball of air. He put his focus on the ground beneath his and willed balls of earth to gravitate around the ball of air. From within himself he inserted lightning inside the ball. He moved his hands outward a bit, to expand the ball. Making it bigger and harder to control. That was the point. He had to learn to master his abilities one way or another. Next he used the fire from the dying campfire near their campsite, igniting it once more and traveling pieces into his ball of elements. The more elements were combined, the harder to control it was since you had to focus on all of them at once. That was one thing he had never been quite good at, keeping his focus....
He startled a bird flew out of a tree in the distance, breaking his focus and making the ball disappear and the pieces of earth fall back to the ground. Yuri kicked the grass in frustration. He had been so close, closer than he'd ever been. In a spurt of anger, his body became engulfed in lightning. He threw a bolt to the tree the bird had flown from, accidentally setting it on fire. His eyes widen. Yuri lifted his hands at the pond and created a large wave as he lifted his arms over his head and than quickly moved his arms to the side, making the large wave flow over the starting fire.
Yuri lets out another sigh as he laid down on the ground, hands behind his head, looking at the stars once more. He usually enjoyed watching the sky as it brought peace to his mind, made him forget the world around him for a second. But this time the knot in his stomach made that he just felt restless. Something was going to happen. When he did not know, but he was determined to be ready when the events in his vision took place. He was determined to be on time. Yuri was set on preventing his vision coming true and thus saving the world in the process.
AN: another chapter done. It won't be long now before I intertwine the Naruto storyline with my own. I hope you guys are enjoying the book and more updates will be coming soon!
