Yuri held his hand up in a fist as his face contorted in a mix of anger and annoyance. Hidan was at the receiving end of the boy's rage. He was clutching at his chest as his heart was being squeezed tighter and tighter, the young boy's rage filled eyes never leaving his. Kakuzu was cheering the small boy on while the rest of the akatsuki didn't even try to stop him. Hidan is immortal so it's not like Yuri could actually kill him, just temporarily. The child squeezed a bit harder, making it even harder to breath for Hidan. "Finnish him already!" Kakuzu yelled "He won't do it" Pain commented in a monotone voice "Even if he did... it wouldn't really make much of a difference, now would it?" Konan added.
"Yuri!" Itachi said the warning clear in his tone "Let Hidan go" he added. "He started it!" Yuri yelled out "Yuri!" Itachi sternly spoke as a mother berating her child. "But" Yuri started " No buts" Itachi interupted the young boy "He tried to sacrifice me... again!" the small child yelled out "Now I will make him the sacrifice for his beloved Jashin-sama" Yuri said with gritted teeth "No, you will not" Itachi spoke in a low voice "Watch me" Yuri replied with a scowl on his face as he tightened his fist a little more, his eyes never leaving Hidan's. "Stop!" Itachi yelled "Fine" Yuri growled out. Hidan stopped clutching his chest and started laughing manically as Yuri turned his back on him. The white haired child spun on his heels and clapped his hands together, creating a powerful hose of wind. Hidan flew back into the wall with so much force that a crater appeared in the wall. Itachi let out a sigh as the young boy walked out of the room.
Yuri sat on his bed, legs pulled to his chest. Tears threatened to fall from his eyes as the vision he'd had played back in his mind. He came out of the woods and stepped into a clearing. There was a boy in orange with yellow hair, there was girl with pink hair, an old man and a boy that looked a lot like Itachi but with hair that looked like the but of a duck. A man stood in front of them, a man he knew..... Zabuza Momochi. When he looked a little further he saw his father in a water prison. The scenery twitched, colors were drained and he just saw red and gray..... And when the vision changed.... There was a lot of blood, the bodies lying lifeless on the ground.... Only Zabuza was alive. Suddenly a large nine tailed fox appeared, killing Zabuza with ease. The world was burning and all they'd known would be destroyed. Everyone would be dead. But the most haunting thing about the vision was his father. His lifeless body, the fear in he one eye before he was torn to shreds.
His cheeks were wet with tears that he hadn't noticed had fallen. There was a knock on the door. Yuri just buried his face further in his knees. He didn't want his sensei to see him like this. Weak. Useless. A crybaby. Yet he couldn't stop the tears from falling and the sob that accompanied those tears either. Itachi walked over to the small boy and put a hand on his back. "Yuri?" he asked "I will leave in the morning" Yuri said trying to hide his emotions. Confusion crosses Itachi's features. "Why?" Itachi asked "Does it have something to do with what just occurred with Hidan?" he added "No" Yuri replied "Not really. I just have to leave" he added. Itachi decided that it was best not to push. "Sleep on it, if you still want to leave in the morning than I will even help you pack" Itachi said "I don't want to leave" Yuri said with a sniffle. Another look of confusion crosses over Itachi's face. "Then don't" Itachi told him "I don't have a choice! They will die if I don't save them!" Yuri yelled, finally looking up at his sensei "Everyone will die...." he added with a whisper. "The nine tails.... The nine tails will roam freely and the world will burn" Yuri added.
The next morning Yuri said his goodbyes to his sensei an the other akatsuki members. Although he was reluctant to let the small boy go, Itachi had helped him pack a small bag with belongings for the journey. A journey that neither had any idea of when it would end. Neither had any idea when their paths would cross again.... If they'd cross paths again....
And so his journey began.....
