(Smut warning)

"Sooo, how are things?" Jess asked smirking as she threw a paper plate away and begun walking back over to the counter.

You eyed her with a curious smirk as you finished making her a drink and slid it across the counter. Almost as if by sheer luck stopping right in front of your friend without spilling over. "What do you mean?" You asked, and begun fixing yourself a drink as well. She stood closer and draped her arm over your shoulder as she spoke lowly to you.

"With Al? Hello?" She giggled.

You smirked and sipped your drink, scowling for a nanosecond as it was much heavier on the alcohol than you intended. "Wonderful." You blushed. "That man continues to treat me exceptionally well."

She squealed as she bounced on her feet. You chuckled as you politely removed yourself from her hold on you, mostly out of fear of her spilling her beverage onto you in her state of excitement. "Easy there." You giggled.

"Good! 'Cause if he doesn't I'll help you bury him."

Can you bury a demon? You thought, rolling your eyes fondly. They'd probably just be mad when they crawl back up out of the dirt.

"Hopefully it never comes to that." You admitted. You looked over your shoulder discretely to ensure that Alastor was still over by your other friends and not within earshot. You couldn't help but smile as you saw him laughing and sharing stories with everyone. Of course, at these occasions he'd often tweak and alter his stories just a little bit to avoid suspicion. Things he couldn't give away like the afterlife or being alive a hundred years ago. You turned back to Jess and whispered quietly. "Actually I just finished doing Christmas shopping for him. I think he's really gonna like it."

"What'd you get him?" She asked.

"Well a few little things as warm up presents that I'm sure he'll get a kick out of, but the big thing is a trip to New Orleans for the two of us. It's where he grew up, he misses it a lot." You explained.

"Awwwwhhhhhh!!!!!" She gushed, getting all excited. "That's so sweet!! Oh my god I'm sure he's gonna love it. Are you excited?"

"Hell yeah! It's not for a couple of months but I can hardly wait."

"Is he fun to travel with?" She wondered.

"Definitely a fan of the nightlife wherever we go," you stated, nodding a bit as you took another sip of the strong beverage. "Which is like, fine, until its 3am and I wanna take off the fuckin' heels that kill my feet and just go back to the hotel already."

She snickered along side you as she stole a glance at him as well before looking back.

"But, I can honestly say I'm never bored." You admitted, looking over at him and locking eyes. You both smiled sweetly at each other as you did before resuming your conversations. "He keeps me on my toes, in a way that makes me eager to see what he does next. He's always trying to make me smile and enjoy life."

"How is he in bed?" She asked lowly.

"Aaaaand I'm going outside."

You turned away from your friend and b-lined it to the front door, giggling and picking up speed as she followed close behind anyway.

"Oh come on!!"

"Don't be crude!" You laughed, reaching the front door and bracing yourself for the cold; quickly stepping outside and onto the porch. The overhang above shielding you from the falling snow that cascaded daintily down from the sky above. Jess was practically on your tail as she immediately came out after you and shut the door.
