Malmy would stare at the levitating girl. Librisca would look down upon the other girl. The two of them would stare each other down.
"Holy shit. That was one hell of a kick." Damien said, crossing his arms.
"Librisca's fighting style is none like others. Because reality bend to Librisca. She doesn't have to bend to reality." Leaun said.
"It opens so many possibilities," Kotoha said.
"Why doesn't she just make her enemy powerless or die or make herself immortal?" Delilah asked, moving her fingers over her guitar strings.
"Well. The problem with that is the focus it requires. Librisca described it that her ability has layers." Leaun explained.
"How was it again? Oh yeah! The first layer is called the reflection layer. Librisca has an easy time changing parts of her own body and mind. Like making her able to speak without moving her mouth or breath through dust and even turn her limbs into other materials." Iliya explained.
"Then there was what she called the outer layer. Which refers to the world around her, like making the air solid or making her tailcoat reflect or destroy rocks. It is the power to control lifeless things." Leaun explained.
"And then there is what she refers to as the sentient layer. The layer that controls other living things. She has a very hard time doing that in the sense that it requires an incredible amount of focus. That is why she hasn't really used her power directly on Malmy yet." Iliya explained.
"Lastly, she can combine the layers. In a sense, she did with the switcharoo ability. Switching places affecting an outer and reflecting layer." Leaun said.
"I see." Delilah would lean her head on the banister and sigh.
"So why is it she has a hard time?" Damien asked.
"I think the quickest way to explain that would be how she uses her ability. You can't see them, but Librisca sees them as the strings of reality. All around her, she sees small strings she can affect with her mana, changing properties. Everything has a string, and for her to use her ability, she has, through sheer will, connect her string with something and then change its property of it. Changing her own string is easy. Changing strings that aren't moving or living is okay, easy too, but changing something that wills not to change is hard for her. The focus it requires to connect the strings is hard." Iliya explained. The others nodded.
" I think I get it. It's kinda like a song. She had to get her guitar string to sound the same as others to be able to affect them." Delilah said.
"That would be a good example, yes. but not only that. The amount of things she also changes differ. The most the target refuses the outcome, the more focus it requires. So just saying. You die aren't a thing she really can do." Leaun said. All of them turned to the fight once again.
Librisca would be levitating in the air. She would take small breaths as her eyes would glow up. The strings would move all around her—long blue strings flying everywhere. Librisca's soul would reach out and grab a string.
"The ground under you is mud!" She shouted as her soul pulled on one of the strings, changing the ground under her to mud. Librisca would fly down, spinning her bo-staff.
"Here comes an old fashion beatdown!" She shouted as she swung the bo-staff.
"Ha!" Malmy would grin as she and the chair plate would sink into the mud.
"Mud is but a liquid form of my weaponry!" Malmy would raise both hands into the air.
"Time to bring out some big guns!" Malmy roared as the mud twisted around herself. Librisca would try to stop her acceleration, but it was too late. A hand of mud shot out and grabbed Librisca's leg.
"The hand is not h-" Librisca was about to talk, but her soul didn't reach the string because it was moving...The mud's string was moving.
"The sentient layer..." She thought in horror.
"Eliyahu!" Malmy shouted as the arm swung down, slamming Librisca into the ground.
