Alexander was lying in a medical bed with bandages all over his body.
"You really did a number on yourself, huh?" Faust asked, sitting up. Alexander weakly turned his eyes toward Faust and then just looked back at the ceiling without saying anything.
"You secured another win for us. You should be proud, man." Faust growled. Malmy held up her hand in front of Faust.
"I think he isn't talking because it hurts too much." Malmy grinned awkwardly. Faust looked at Alexander, who blinked twice to indicate a yes.
"Ah, fair," Faust said. Lily appeared, swimming around the air.
"Of course, we would win. Nothing beats us!" Lily grinned.
"He-" Alexander said, flinching slightly. The three looked at him.
"He was strong." Alexander weakly said.Damien was inside the morgue, looking at Sakana's body.
"Damn, I'm fired up, but-" Damien said.
"You will not be able to join the fight," Delilah said.
"No, Vindur has said from the start that if Jessica Sparks were to join the fray. He would take care of her. I heard from some guards around the capital that Vindur already confronted Jessica once, and it ended in his loss." Damien said, looking at Sakana. His best friend and rival were lying on the stone slab with a smile on their face.
"You at least achieved your dream before dying, bro." Damien nodded.
"Using that ability, right?" Delilah asked. Damien nodded.
"All he ever wanted was to achieve the tenth form. He mastered it in his moment of need, and it didn't even save him." Damien said.
"You ready to leave?" Delilah asked. Damien shook his head.
"I think I would never personally be ready to leave, yet I must leave," Damien said. Delilah smiled, taking his arm and pulling him along. Damien kept his eyes on Sakana until he was out of sight. He turned to walk next to Delilah.
"Vindur better destroy that girl," Damien growled.
"Easy, easy." Delilah smiled. The two of them left the morgue as Sakana's body vanished and was put underground.
"Am I soon ready?!" Jessica asked, sitting in her chair. Connor was adjusting the bands on her legs.
"You remember what I said, right?" Connor asked. Jessica nodded but then grinned.
"Yeah yeah. Do not take off all three of them." Jessica laughed.
"I mean it, Jessica!" Connor shouted. Jessica stared at him.
"If you did that, we might not be able to seal it back together," Connor said.
"You managed to do it once. You can do it again." Jessica grinned. Connor sighed.
"Sometimes I feel like whatever I say just goes in one ear and out the other," Connor grumbled. Jessica laughed.
"I know you will always have my back. So, no matter what I say, you will always find a way to make my vision into reality!" Jessica shouted. Connor stood up and looked at her. Jessica smiled at him.
"I always give you a hard time, Connor, but I will say it now. I treasure you." Jessica said with a warm smile. Connor softly moved his cane forward, bonking her on the head.
"I know. You don't have to tell me." Connor walked toward his work table, grabbing another magical tool.
"Always tinkering and inventing. It's fun to see how much you differ but also look like your dad." Jessica smiled.
"Shut it. I never met him." Connor put the tool to the bands and began working.
"Connor Rekniz," Jessica said. Connor looked up and blinked a few times.
"What about it?" Connor asked as he kept working.
"You first saw your dad as we arrived here in Betamorion. I remembered you stared at his statue with such awe." Jessica said.
"My dad was an emotionless man who only caught up potential in abilities. I am not like that. My sole purpose for assistance is you." Connor said, finishing his work on the band. She smiled warmly, leaning forward and placing a hand on Connor's head.
"My Connor Rekniz." She said. Connor smiled warmly, adjusting his vest a bit, and stood up, placing his hand on his cane, holding him up.
"Jessica Sparks. You are gonna face Vindur Caligo. I think one of the strongest people on the Betamorion team. Let me ask you this one simple question." Connor said with a smile. She nodded.
"Will you come back?" He asked. Jessica looked up at the ceiling and grinned.
"No sweat!" Jessica grinned. Connor nodded.
"Shall we head for the venue?" Connor asked, grabbing the wheelchair and pushing it. Jessica nodded and allowed him to push her off.
Iliya was sitting in a room with Vindur in front of her.
"Vindur," Iliya said.
"Don't start being all sad on me now, Iliya." Vindur smiled warmly.
"But-" Iliya said. Vindur placed a hand on top of her head.
"I will always be by your side, Iliya," Vindur said. Iliya smiled warmly and looked up at him, tears in her eyes.
"I know, but I don't know what to do if you were to disappear on me, Vindur," Iliya said with sad eyes.
"Iliya, you are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for. You took down the conquest squad and brought back tranquility to Betamorion. You united the Betanian and Alphamorion natures. You are so much stronger than I ever could be." Vindur said. Iliya nodded and removed the tears from her face. She looked at him sternly.
"Vindur!" She shouted. He nodded.
"Go out there and beat that girl!" She shouted. Vindur nodded and walked toward the door. He left the room, walking toward the arena. As he got to his area, he saw Jessica and Connor.
"Vindur Caligo." Jessica grinned.
"Jessica Sparks. This is the Betamorion side of the arena. What are you doing over here?" Vindur asked.
"We were going to my way out, but we thought to take the long way around so I might run into you, and it seemed like I succeded." Jessica grinned. Vindur grabbed the handle of his katana and walked toward her.
"Vindur, I hope you are ready to make it so that your team is two points behind. I win, and we win one more, and the tournament is ours!" Jessica grinned.
"Fun of you to say that, Sparks. I will not lose this time." Vindur said with a grin. He remembered the day in Iliya's office. He had used all his speed to attack her in time, but she had outspeed him and zapped his arm, making it weak somehow. She had only gazed at him, but that was not why he was so focused on her. She had gazed at him! She had followed him with her eyes. She had seen him move, which no one had ever done before.
"Connor. You can leave me here. Vindur, would you push me to my area?" Jessica asked. Vindur looked at Connor, but he seemed to nod.
"I will be at the cheering area." Connor walked off, limbing on one leg. Vindur grabbed the wheelchair and began to push her.
The two of them walked in silence for a moment. Jessica sat and stared out in front.
"Requesting this from the enemy you are about to face is kinda weird," Vindur said.
"And if you said no, you would have been mean. This wheelchair does have some benefits." Jessica laughed. Vindur sighed and kept pushing it. The two went in silence for a few more moments before they arrived at her gate. He looked at her.
"I'm not pushing you out there," Vindur said. Jessica laughed.
"That's fine, but before you leave, I want to say something to you, Vindur." She turned to him and grinned.Jessica's light blue hair was swaying around her head. Yellow lines moved through her hair like electricity, but there was no static appearing around it. Her eyes were the same blue color, and staring at Vindur with a serious gaze. She was wearing her pinky skirt with white stripes going vertically with a blue waistcoat and white shirt underneath. The black bands on her legs were still obstructing her movements. They were placed right above the ankle, right above the knee, and one around the middle of the thigh. She pointed at him with a grin.
"Saltorain will not lose this war!" She grinned. Vindur smiled and then turned around, walking away.
"Believe in that dream forever. Because I might fall today, but-" He turned to her and grinned proudly.
"I might fall, but Betamorion will live on as long as Iliya Hanabi stands at the top." He grinned proudly. Jessica's grin turned almost ecstatic.
"Oooh hooo?" Jessica grinned. Vindur vanished and moved through the halls at top speed, appearing at his gate.Vindur's white spiky hair swayed as he came to a stop. His pale greenish eyes locked on the door as he walked toward it. His light brown coat swayed behind him as he walked, placing his hand on the hilt of his katana at his side. A green belt around a black t-shirt underneath his coat. His long black boots were stomping on the ground, and his beige pants were getting hit by the sun from the outside. His silver bracelet on both hands sent out rays of light from the light in the corridor. He adjusts the silver ring on his right hand with a grin. The metal feather necklace around his neck was swinging to his movements.
"Guess it's time for me to win this fight." He walked out into the open.
