"Data showing it was a success. The capsule has been unsealed!" A voice rang out. I slowly opened my eyes, taking a small breath through the water. The small door opened up in front of me, and all the liquid poured out. I saw a very dimly lit room and a few people, and as the liquid slowly leaked out, gravity started to take hold of me, making my legs touch the ground. My right leg wobbled, and I fell forward. I was about to crash against the floor when someone stopped my fall. It was a tall man clad in a lot of jewelry.
"Hello, spawn of Vondin." The man said. I looked at him. The men around him were looking at my body.
"Sir, it seems he wasn't...umm...finished. He is missing a muscle in his right leg. Seems to be the quadriceps muscles." One of the men said.
"Well. We didn't have a choice. What's your name, kid?" The man holding me asked.
"I do not have a name." I simply answered. The man nodded and grabbed a chair with his free hand. He slammed it against the ground, breaking it apart and taking up a small wooden leg. He gave it to me in my hand.
"Use this for support, for now, kid. I'm Armfos Sparks. I need your brilliance." Armfos said.
"My brilliance?" I asked.
"That girl in there-" He said, pointing to a giant cage. Inside was a small, frail girl. She seemed even more malnourished and sick than me.
"Needs a way to lower her power. It will kill her if not." Armfos said. I looked at him.
"What makes you think I would be able to help?" I asked emotionlessly.
"Because you are the spawn of one of the greatest minds of any generation. If Vondin can't save my little sister, then I don't know who could." Armfos grinned. It was true. My mind was filled with all kinds of knowledge. I knew who my father was. He was cynical and cold, believing that the Gods' powers were true power. He had left me with all his knowledge and files. I was a walking archive of information and knowledge.
"Let me...look at the data," I said. I slammed my cane against the ground, moving toward the consoles.
"Nope." Armfos stopped me by grabbing onto my head.
"First, let's get you some food and clothes. Must be nice to be out finally." Armfos grinned.I was but a puppet. I knew when I was released that I had a purpose. I was to be used as a tool by my father to be his immortal notebook. To further his study and then one day become his host body so he could live forever. Yet, I was not met with my father, but another flamboyant man who took me in. Over the next couple of weeks, I would design the first bangles.
"So, these are the prototype I came up with," I said coldly. I looked at the scientist showing them the bangle.
"These are power suppressors. They will make sure that all the power will run through them, and they can handle power levels up to a god's level. If we can put them on her, then she will start feeling better." I said coldly.
"That's my boy." Armfos grinned, placing a hand on top of my head.
"Please, refrain from doing that," I said. He just laughed.
"Now. let's get them on to her," Armfos said with a grin.
"Okay. All can you come to the vent?" A scientist said through the microphone.
"All?" I asked.
"Her name is the All Project. Like ya. She is but a simple test subject to these people, but I'm her brother." Armfos said. I looked at the frail girl inside the cage before I handed the bangle to the scientist.
"Okay, All. Take this and open it using the small button on it. Then put it around your leg." The scientist said. The girl crawled over the floor. It was a weak crawling. Her whole body was weak and almost broken. She grabbed the bangle and placed her thumb on it, and started to press down, but her frail hand couldn't press the button.
"I c-c..." She couldn't even speak much anymore.
"DAMN... she's too frail to use it," Armfos said. I looked upon her. Her hand reached out toward the glass and then pointed out toward me.
"Help..." She said. My eyes widened as I walked towards the glass.
"Lil man?" Armfos asked. I jumped down in front of the glass wall and walked up to touch my hand against it. I felt a distant pain in my body, but yet it didn't hurt this much.
"How genius...Armfos, you really did bring the perfect solution. Not only is the homunculus a scientific genius, but he is also without any magic in his body. All's power doesn't affect him as hard as it does others." A man shouted.
"Open the cage." The boy said. The glass panel in front of him opened slightly, and he crawled inside. The girl looked up as she heard it. She saw him. A tiny boy around her age. His leg limping. Having a brown vest and white shirt on, holding onto a cane. His yellow hair swayed as he walked. He walked up to her and grabbed the bangle.
"NO!" She grabbed onto it.
"Mine...told to put on." She growled like a wild animal.
"I'm gonna help you." He said emotionlessly. He opened the bangle and put it on her leg. In an instance, the whole room's light flicked, and then she lay there silently.
"Power contained...It worked." A scientist said. The boy looked at her. Armfos swung himself over the console and down into the room. He walked toward her, hugging her close to himself.
"I'm so sorry," Armfos said. All's eyes widened as she felt the warmth of someone else for the first time. I looked at them and then turned around, walking toward the way out. Armfos' arm flew out and grabbed me, pulling me in close too.
"I will be there...I promise." Armfos said. My eyes widened.
"But I am but a tool," I said.
"Be silent, Lil man. You are nothing like a tool." He said.
