Silence filled the space at a simple question.

Lloyd looked around at his security detail, everyone rocking on the balls of their feet. They of course knew who they were trying to track down, but Lloyd knew that Sierra Six was Addison's friend, one of her closest ones. With a flick of his wrist, Lloyd excused the detail, the once crowded apartment, now barren except for Addison who leaned against the counter, her hip pressing into it to keep her upright, Lloyd sat in the arm chair, running his palms down his trousers, and Suzanne flicked her eyes between Addison and Lloyd. "Lloyd, I can't help you if you don't tell me who I'm looking for." Her voice was breathless, clear exhaustion washing over her features. Only then did Lloyd notice the bags under eyes, the split skin of her knuckles, her hair was pulled up into a bun, something she never did.

"Suzanne go get coffee for us."

Suzanne went to protest, only to nod when Lloyd sent her a sharp glare, her feet carrying her quickly out of the apartment, the click of the door shutting reverberating around the room, settling against Addison's chest. "Don't give me that look, I've made it for two years without you overseeing me, I'm fine." The words left her mouth quicker than she could stabilize her voice, broken syllables drawing Lloyd over to her in two quick strides, his palms pressed against her cheeks so he could asses her features. His lips turned into a frown when he saw the dull blue eyes that used to shine so brightly, purple bags decorated the space underneath. "Sunshine, are you sleeping?" He asked, running his thumbs over her cheeks. Addison couldn't fight it anymore, her body slumping against the counter, Lloyd's arm flying around her waist to keep her upright. "No."

Lloyd's hand tangled in the strands of hair on the back of her head, pressing her forehead against his beating heart.

A stuttered breath pushed out of Addison's lungs as she took in Lloyds scent, her bottom lip wobbling as her arms wrapped around his waist. "They let me go," Addison whispered, closing her eyes when Lloyd lifted her up onto the counter, one hand on her waist while the other kept her head against his chest. "Why would they let you go? You're the best on their team?" It was true, Addison was untraceable, she could track down any target without being found herself, it made her valuable to the C.I.A. or at least it did. Now she was in D.C. alone, and exhausted, which just made Lloyd's heart clench as she fisted the back of his polo. "I'm more of an enemy than an asset."

Lloyd's mind stilled, the same words were hurled at him when was told he wasn't fit to be an assassin for the agency.

"The target," Addison whispered, pushing him away once she got herself together. Lloyd stumbled, pulling his hands away, bracing himself against the refrigerator behind him, the sudden movement catching him off guard. "Yes, the target," Lloyd cleared his throat, pulling his jacket tightly around him once more, three taps of his left foot echoing around the kitchen, "is Sierra Six." Lloyds voice wavered when he saw, Addison's face fall once more, blue eyes hollowed as she processed the information given to her.

She was losing the only other part of herself that mattered.

"Okay," a shaky breath escaped Addison's lungs as she hopped off the counter, mentally sectioning off the most intimate parts of her brain. If she had to chose her parents over a man who would sell her out, she'd chose her parents any day. "Sunshine," Lloyd started as she walked down the hall towards her bathroom, waving her hand around. "You know the way out, I'll see you later." She stated, shutting the door behind her, leaning against the wood that separated her from the rest of the world.

She had one shot as soon as the door shut, Lloyd calling out that he locked it, she just hoped he would be willing to comply.
