"Sunshine, how long will it take you to get to the rendezvous? I need extraction."
Lloyds voice crackled through the speaker on her phone, a sigh leaving her lips as she looked at the contact photo of him and their five month baby boy Noah on the screen. Only a few more hours until they were back in Croatia ands she could strip the title of rogue agent and just become mama. "Where are you jumping from? How many cars am I going up against?"
"You have about ten minutes before the train is set to blow," the private train with a corrupt politician and his men on board, "you've got about fifteen escort cars on either side."
Thirty cars, should be easy.
"Give me three."
Addison let the BMW roar to life under her thighs, the rumble bringing out the side of her that craves danger. She was about to go into the city center of Prague again, the same center that five years ago she destroyed with the help of Lloyd, except now she wasn't the one jumping from a moving train, she was catching her fiancé. The exhilaration climbed up her spine, her smile growing as she shifted into drive, pressing her foot on the pedal, the wind zipping through the interior of the car.
Cars parted in front of her, cops recognizing the duo now that she was approaching. Lloyd and Addison had made quite the name for themselves, they were lethal, and they were silent. Politicians feared them, cops avoided them, the CIA gave up hunting them. They escaped death so many times that death finally stopped knocking on their front door. Especially when Noah came into the world, Lloyd was death and Addison was the ammunition, no one wanted to step in their line of sight.
A chill ran up her spine as her steel blue BMW broke into the sight of the escorts, all of the cars moving to get closer together to not give her an in. "Sunshine, time is ticking," Lloyd was standing on the top of the train, one hand holding onto the safety handles, his jacket was flapping around his sides and Addison wanted to laugh. If he was smart he would've gotten off before the train left the station like the originally planned.
"You owe me a new car."
Lloyd wasn't able to answer before Addison cut the line of communication, her focus having to be completely focused on her execution of a move she had done for the past ten years. Racing alongside the escorts, Addison found her in, a gap that couldn't be closed. Her BMW would fit right in between the two cars easily if she could derail the one that was pushing the caravan forward. Sighing, she reached into her glove department, pulling out her pistol that Lloyd had given her years ago, the only one she used now. Addison rolled down the window, pushing the safety down and firing two shots, one hitting the back wheel perfectly the other hitting the gas cover, making the car explode.
Tossing the gun into her passenger seat, her car hit 100 miles an hour, dodging people and other cars before she was pulling into the space she created, pulling up on parking break to force her car to stop, the caravan slamming into the reinforced metal, the thing she was thankful for in this moment. Sliding into her passenger side, she grabbed her gun once more, pushing the passenger door open and stepping out. It thrilled her to see the fear cross mens faces as she approached, keeping her distance she kept her eyes on the man in the first car, raising her left hand and firing another shot, the gas that was leaking out of the cars immediately exploding, casting the city in an orange glow.
Calmly Addison slipped back into her car, climbing into the drivers seat and puling the break up, slamming her foot down on the accelerator to force her car to max speed. There were only two cars that stood between Lloyd and her, and she was losing minutes quickly. The distance was closing as she passed the city, her bumper ramming into the back of the Jeep in front of her. She kept the speed increasing, the car desperately trying to slow, smoke coming from the tires as the driver slammed on the breaks, "oh come on," Addison mumbled, reaching forward to press a button that Lloyd installed when he was testing new technology, it would give her a thirty second speed boost and that's all she needed.
