The helicopters blades whirred to life as Suzanne, Lloyd, and Addison stepped out the front door.
"If this is a trap," a sigh left Addison's lips as Suzanne started her spiral, spewing off all the possible ways this could go wrong. "Suzanne, if this is a trap and the whole thing goes horribly wrong I'm a fully trained assassin, I'll be able to manage getting out out in at least half working condition." Addison turned to see the color quickly drain from Suzannes face at the mention of a possible assassination, a small laugh leaving Addison's lips, Lloyd's hand in her back pocket squeezing her bum as they walked. He insisted he saw off the two most important woman in his life, making Suzanne blush and Addison groan internally. "Take it easy on her sunshine, she's not as jaded as we are." Lloyd's lips hovered over her ear, pressing a kiss to the shell of it before he stood back to his full height.
He said he came out to see them off, but in reality Addison knew it was to make sure she was taking Alpha team with her.
"When can I see you back sunshine?" Lloyd asked, looping one of his fingers around the jean belt loops, turning her abruptly so her chest was pressed against his. Addison craned her neck back, running her hands up his biceps before looping them around his neck, hands crossed lazily and dangling above his shoulder blades. "Hopefully tonight, if not then sometime tomorrow." Lloyd groaned at her answer, leaning down to plaster a kiss against her lips. This was the part Addison wanted back, the Lloyd who needed her as much as she needed him. "Please don't get yourself killed," Lloyd's voice was lost in the wind, Addison smiling against his lips before she pulled away slowly, resting her forehead against his. "I'll be okay Lloyd," one hand reached behind her into the waist band of her jeans, pulling out the black gun with the yellow A.J. initials engraved against the chamber, the gun fitting snuggly in her palm. "See how good things are when you listen to me sunshine?"
Addison smiled, there was always something so endearing about Lloyd's question. If felt like a praise even though deep down it was condescending. He made it where she always wanted to please him. Even when they were apart, it was like his voice had taken up a little space in her head, pushing her to do the things she was always to scared to do, just to hear him say good girl. "Yes," she breathed out, her lips parted as his thumb stroked her jaw, lips meeting in a parting kiss, love pouring out of Lloyd's skillful kiss before he stepped back. "Kick ass sunshine."
With that he turned on his heel, heading towards the doors.
"Addison come on!" Suzannes voice carried over the whirring of the helicopter blades, pulling Addison out of her daze, head shaking as she tucked the gun back into her waistband, walking up to the opened door of the helicopter. River extended his hand, helping her climb into the machine before she settled into the seat beside Suzanne, placing the helmet on so she could speak to the team over the radio. "Alpha team clear for take off?" The tactical team leader was waiting for Addison's response, "Clear, get the bird in the air."
As soon as the words left Addison's lips, Suzanne gripped onto her arm, the helicopter rocking before it started to steadily ascend into the air. Addison sighed, patting Suzannes hand before looking out at the historic building Lloyd called home in Croatia grow smaller and smaller, before it just became a speck in the clouds. "Oh my god!" Suzanne squealed as the helicopter shifted in the direction of Germany, her nails digging into Addison's flesh. "Not much of a flier?" It wasn't meant to come out as taunting, but the way Suzannes face turned the color of a strawberry showed her that it came out as an insult not as a genuine question.
Suzanne might not be one of Addison's biggest fans, and honestly Addison wasn't too fond of the way Suzanne thought she should be beside Lloyd at all times. But she knew fear, she knew the way it sits in your gut and twists until you can barely take it anymore. Or how it feels like a tsunami letting loose after the months of preparation. Addison had felt fear that night that she walked out of her and Lloyd's shared apartment, at the way the Potomac swallowed the sweater and her tears with it, she felt fear at not knowing what was coming next.
